I didn't know about the "Mantafahrer". I remember a bad reputation about Audi drivers in the USA back in the '90s.

ingo DEWell, it's at least my main intention to be at IMCDb. To monitor 1970ies and early 80ies movies for that :D 2011-05-27 22:48
deltagolf FII'd say "nice" about the Derby if it didn't have the damn plastic bumpers  , ruins the styling IMHO.

ingo DE:think: A rare colour, the 1975 MY only "anconabluemetallic".
Also to see a 1980 Mitsubishi Colt (rare enough in Switzerland, that worth to list?), Renault 6, Ford Taunus Turnier [TC1], also an Alfasud (Ti due the spoiler?) and a Toyota Corolla.

DynaMike NLBecause of the one colour (for body and roof) it will be most probably a Belgian built car or a 1971+ (? I'm not at home and cannot check)) French version. 2011-05-27 22:01

Lateef NOA few months ago, a huge tree fell over my auntie's Prius. Luckily the trunk missed it by inches, and the fence beside it was crushed to smithereens. 2009-10-13 22:18
DynaMike NLI know (some of) these names as used in Japan (I think the 818 was called Grand Familia and the RX-7 Savanna). In Holland (and as far as I know also in Germany and France) they only used the numbers, so I guessed it would be the same in Switzerland...

@Ingo: Yes every now and then when there's a heavy storm some old trees in Amsterdam fall upon parked cars. It is an interesting sight, but I'm very happy it never happened to a car of mine...
2009-10-13 22:09
Raul1983 FII think Capella was justa an additional name but I'm not sure. At some point during the early 70's all Mazda's had additional model designations. Mazda 1300 was a Marella/Familia, 818 a Savanna, 929 a Safir, 616 a Capella, 1500 a Luce and 1500 wagon was known as Hacienda. At least in advertising they used only names not numbers. 2009-10-13 22:00
ingo DE"Capella"? This was the name of a heavy hurricane over Europe in early 1976. I've found a booklet about it in our office a time ago. Inside there is a photo from a DAF 55, wich was squashed by a fallen tree. DynaMike will surely know the location, because it was shot in Amsterdam. ;) 2009-10-13 21:27
DynaMike NLWas the name Capella really used in Switzerland? I'd guessed it would be just 616 (1971-1975). 2009-10-13 21:18
DynaMike NLIt should be listed as 'made for CH' because of the location of the license plate. French models still had their plate above the rear doors. 2009-10-13 20:56
