atom SEAll 1976 Volvos had to be sent back to the factory to be repainted due to warranty problems. I used to have a 1976 242 and got the story told by my granddad who worked at the local Volvo dealer at the time.

Seventies Volvos, like most seventies cars had notorious rust problems.

dsl SXPerhaps they were going for a transplant - Rolls engine into the Skoda for a street racer. Or vice versa as a recession-proof economy car - somebody in UK once put a Perkins diesel engine into an Aston DB5. A bit odd combination, the Skoda and the Rolls, waiting both together for the repair - the value of a damaged 8-year-old-Skoda was lower than the costs for its storage in a garage for one month :p

En réponse à la question de sixcyl "Does your father had an idea of what happened to this poor Corniche to be so damaged?" je ne crois pas que mon père ai jamais connu les circonstances de l'accident.

sixcyl FRDoes your father had an idea of what happened to this poor Corniche to be so damaged?

By the way, I find really interesting all these comments given by owners of the cars seen in some films. For my own interest I've begun an exel file where I list all these comments, with the pseudo name of the owner, the car and the film concerned by.
Antoine, or anyone else have you any other exemples of this kind of comments, that I could enter in my file?
At term, I think that it would be a nice possibility for internauts visiting this site, to design a specific feature for a direct list to all of these comments ( I think I've already suggested this device for the site)... i know it might be more work for Antoine! :)

83boner FR[quote=Weasel1984]Late 1981, so had to be after the filming (though before the premiere). Father knew about the car film career?

Yes it's true.
Yes my father always knew that his ROLLS ROYCE was filmed in DIVA.
I think that it is the salesman who said to him.
For photos as soon as I shall go to CLERMONT FERRAND I shall take pictures and I shall put them on the site.
