LVCDC FRAlexander was right about the Stampe ...
For other aircraft, please read the IMPDB page..

By the way, IMDB lacks Calais (France) as another filming location (despite written just under the Citroën GS ;) !).

Well, in that case, the Fiat 127 and 131 are the most visible.

There are 32 pages of Fiat 127s.
There are 24 pages of Fiat 131s.

They're about as equally interesting as each other. I advocate making a spot for each...if neither exist.

1) the other VW Variant used in UK (as Ingo said)
2) the light aqua 1966 Dodge Coronet used by Walter Matthau just brfore shifting to the tan '67 Chrysler Newport.
3) the light beige '76 Ford Taunus 2 door driven by Matthau to reach Switzerland singing "Il barbiere di Siviglia"

kleinteile DEJa Ingo , hast recht !

kleinteile DEHave you noticed that there are 2 different Type 3 - Squarebacks in the film ? The lady starts with one of them (garage)and later she arrived and drives on with the other one . I think there had been an accident during the film works because she started with the later Version ( correct !) and arrived with a repaired front end with the shorter wings , other hood from the early version type 3 VW . See the chrome trim at the side , the later ( bumber not mounted correctly and the turn signals from the later version not realy fitting the earlier wings .
The Type 3 gets 12 cm longer between the 2 different versions (from 8/1969 on )and the hood become more angular .
Greetings
Jurgen

ingo DEThe German name of the movie is "Agentenpoker". 2010-01-10 16:43
ingo DEBe aware, that in this movie there are some Taunus [TC2] visible, but also some identical Cortina's, in the scenes filmed in Britain!

When I saw this movie yesterday, I got the strong impression, that Ford was a sponsor of this movie and/or it was product placement. There were a bit too much new Ford's to see.
Think about the Escort, too.
2010-01-10 16:43
ingo DE:no: There are tw different of them, a pre-1969 "Shortnose" in the scenes, filmed in Britain, and this 1970+ "Longnose" in the scenes in Austria.

The old Type 3 was pimped to a new one, they have mounted the newer bumper on it. And it had an horribly faked Austrian plate.

I saw this movie yesterday on TV. :)

440 mopar CAOops. Actually this is a regular newport...my mistake. What I thought was the chrome trim is just the shadow from the body line. You can see the newport script on the quarter in the 2nd pic. 2009-05-14 03:14
antp BEFrom the description it looks more just like a trim level / version of the Newport rather than a model on its own 2009-05-12 21:34
440 mopar CANewport Custom. Custom should be part of the name as well. It was it's own model between the base Newport and the 300. Custom's have that chrome and black trim along the lower beltline and the newport script on the front fender. Regular Newports have just chrome rocker trim, and the newport script on the quarter panel instead. 2009-05-12 03:10
