somename ![]() | ^Yes; the Fleetwood 60 Special Brougham was the only Cadillac model (besides limos) from this period that had a fixed B-pillar. But it would be a 73-76 model as 72s also a panel between the front & back door. -- Last edit: 2012-06-06 02:16:44 |

sarge619 ![]() | It is either a '76 or '77. The two-headlight front fascia WAS available in 1975 on the civilian Gran Fury Brougham version as opposed to the four-headlight nose, but it was NOT available on the police-package Gran Fury Pursuit or taxi-prep packages. That particular headlight arrangement with intergral inboard vertical turn signals did not become available on Gran Fury Pursuits until the 1976 model year. In 1976 and 1977, all versions of the Gran Fury had the two-headlight nose, police or civilian. |

Ddey65 ![]() | Since this is a wagon, it can't be an '72 Impala. A '72 Kingswood yes, but not an Impala. | 2011-02-24 04:02 | ||

mackinac359 ![]() | The nameplate on the fender almost looks too big to say "Grand Safari." It might be a Bonneville (or Parisienne if Canadian). If that Pinto wasn't in the way - you could see the front turn signal moulding - which was different for '77, 78 and '79. '77 had multiple ribs, 78 had only 1 and '79 had a wide band/rib. Catalina Safari was not available with woodgrain. |

tennesseestorm ![]() | Its not a 1971, as those had the louvers in the tailgate. That was the only year with the louvers. Its hard to tell a '72 from a '73 without seeing the interior or front-end or the nameplate on the rear quarter panels. The 1973 was called Caprice Estate and 1971-1972 models (as well as the 1969-70 models) were called Kingswood Estate (was still the Caprice wagon though). The '72s had darker woodgrain than the '73s, but the photo is fuzzy and its hard to tell. The hubcaps look like 1973 Caprice hubcaps. I can tell you that the car does have a huge dent on the rear fender. Also, this looks like a 1973 only color, which looks bronze and was a rare color on these wagons. One appeared as the main car in the 1973 movie, "Dying Room Only" with Dabney Coleman and Cloris Leachman, although no photos of that car are yet on this website. -- Last edit: 2009-04-21 06:17:16 |

| matt trakker | This is a 75 Impala "Sport Coupe"...kind of rare. This was the entry level model for Impalas, but many people optioned them with power windows/locks, vinyl tops, etc...because they liked the no-post hardtop roofline better than the custom coupe with it's huge fixed quarter windows. This roofline was only produced in 74/75, it was similar to a 71-73 Custom Coupe, but with a flat back window. -- Last edit: 2008-05-19 10:29:49 |
