john from Staffs a écrit This is an extremely early Morris Minor since it has the plate in the front bumper which was only used until stocks of bumpers built for the car's original width, which was 4" narrower than the production models, were used up.

ingo DEAh, yes. The Notchback at French Connection is odd for one more reason. It's the basic version, ti identify by the missing trims on the side. Normally VW never has exported poverty-spec trim lines of any car to the USA  2012-09-02 11:02
Lateef NOWe have four Notchbacks on the site: /vehicles.php?make=&model=notchback+sedan

The one you're talking about is the one in The French Connection: /vehicle_525336-Volkswagen-Notchback-Sedan-Typ-31-1966.html

ingo DE@tom11: the Notchback wasn't sold there, neither as Shortnose (1961-1969), not as Longnose (1970-1973). Only the Fastback and the Squareback.
We have just one accidental background found of a Notchback in the USA here, but I don't know, in which movie. :??: IIRC it was a scene, where there's the Brooklyn Bridge in the background.

Lateef NOYes, but sold as Fastback Sedan, not 1600 TL. That means this one will have to be changed.

viperdave USIt is a 73 or 74. The body lines in the door gives it away and also the pic that Stronghold showed shows the side window that is 73 or 74. 2011-11-25 08:06
mazeltough USThe wagon could be a Datsun 510. 2011-05-20 10:31

VH45DE USwhy do you think XL? XL only came in 'vert and 2 door sportsroof. tailights are 1969. trunk badge appears to be LTD, but is blurry. 2008-02-21 07:51
JIMS RR USIt's not a Silver Wraith II as it has chrome bumpers, round left hand rearview mirror, and no badge on the boot lid. However, it is a Silver Shadow LWB as it does have the added 4 inches in the rear door, the reduced rear window, and the Everflex top. 2007-11-10 22:56
