Contigo ![]() | They didn't crash it. They removed the rear boot lid and replaced it with a smashed one and smashed the light cluster too and swapped it out. Here's the cluster they used which I too home as a memento. |

the sad biker ![]() | An SUV from any manufacturer is indicative of what's gone wrong with automotive design. What happened to sleek? Svelte? Stylish? Cars are getting progressively bigger and uglier every year (that includes premium & luxury brands), that Lambo is just a large yellow turd with a corporate nose grafted on. |
2019-04-26 20:02 | ||
dsl ![]() | I don't like the Mulsannes - as said above, the face is wrong and unbalanced - but at least there's a coherent shape as if someone cared. Agree that Lambo is hideous, but it doesn't plumb the depths of incompetence achieved by the Lexus. | 2019-04-26 19:15

Sandie ![]() | Can't say it's specifically an S trim. ES and Exclusiv also had wheel trims (different design to the non-standard aftermarket ones shown here). There was also an Expression trim that was presumably so fitted. Probably another possible trim level I'm missing as they changed them about every 5 minutes. | 2019-04-26 18:56
Baube ![]() | agree.. i think we'll have the recount the votes.. ![]() still like better th eLexus than the Mulsanne ( i'm ok with Continental but that face just doesn't fit on a big sedan ) -- Last edit: 2019-04-26 18:53:16 |

dsl ![]() | 8-episode series which started very slowly - so slowly I gave up on it, but then gave it another go. One of those grand epic stories which eventually became something spectacular - episode 1.05 one of the best concentrated bits of TV I've seen for a long time, and I was surprised to discover that Richard Gere can actually act. But then it fell away, too many unnecessary sub-plots crammed together, and it felt as if they ran out of ideas for how to resolve them, so the end was a messy puddle of nothing much. Rejects: - ep1.07 sequence in a derelict warehouse/yard .... looks like a 100E and my hunch is this one again - /vehicle_615440-Ford-Prefect-100E-1957.html , /vehicle_616033-Ford-Prefect-100E-1957.html - ep1.08 - a Jeep thing in back left, and Porsche Cayenne Planes for impdb - opening of ep1.01 ... and same again at end of ep1.08 ![]() |

Unfortunately no-one was willing to come and receive the trophy, as a Toyota spokesperson said that everyone in their design department was too ashamed to admit responsibility. |

dsl ![]() | Same architectural style as the real National Palace in Mexico City but not big enough and not enough storeys. And none of pictures online show this palm-lined avenue, even for a rear entrance. So although you can see what they were trying to do with their choice of this building, it's only an approximate representation. The Spanish idea seems more likely to me and am fairly sure it's a real building (palace?? monastery??), although no idea where/what. This "Mexican" scene is a brief insert in ep1.02, with another short "Mexican" sequence in ep1.07 which is supposed to be the same place (and probably is because there's a similar courtyard scene) but has no real views of the building. |
