Jnglmpera ![]() | P.S. To whoever is going to make the IMPDb page (unless I end up making it...), the scene with the Mark II is at the Narita Airport Terminal (Now Terminal 1) |

dsl ![]() | Yes - arrived with 78+ update to 3.3 litre. Doesn't have 81+ side indicators (which is perhaps understandable in a 1979 film). | 2022-05-01 01:02

993cc ![]() | 1976-79 as mirror looks pre-facelift E21 chrome and bolted-on-door but B6's were late 1978 to 1983 (even after E30 production). So looks plausible for a late 1978 to late 1979 B6. ![]() http://www.bmwe21.net/?page_id=301 -- Last edit: 2020-04-30 23:03:04 |

s13a ![]() | As a comparison, here's another japanese-spec Merak SS (albeit it's a 1980 model); no front spoiler either: https://lrnc.cc/_ct/16944674 The page says nothing about the absence of the front spoiler or anything really. -- Last edit: 2019-05-13 01:32:27 |

the sad biker ![]() | Yamaha DT, 100-125-175. | 2019-05-12 22:14
dsl ![]() | Have found a 1978 SS in Australia with the same mix of chrome grille bars, no spoiler, and black grille across bonnet, so we can stick with 1975 SS here. This is the best Merak page I can find, although not as specific on dates/changes as wiki tries to suggest. | 2019-05-12 22:10
the sad biker ![]() | Kawasaki 900 or 750 so either Z1-P 900 or Z2-P 750 (apparently 34 made). | 2019-05-12 22:09
s13a ![]() | So, it has 2 out of 3 elements to determine whether it's an SS or a plain Merak. Maybe the front spoiler was removed for japanese-spec versions? | 2019-05-12 21:33
dsl ![]() | I'm not totally sure. As I understand it there are 3 possible plain/SS indications to conjure with - the spoiler, the black grille across the bonnet, and the chrome (early) or black (late) bars in lower grille. Not clear how many of these were definite for SS only or general changes during all Meraks (plain/SS/2000) production. This one has early chrome grille bars, no spoiler, and black grille across bonnet, so mixes the elements as if mid-production of whichever version. | 2019-05-12 21:24
electra225 ![]() | 1976+ Pontiac Sunbird ? | 2019-05-12 21:23
s13a ![]() | Not that I know of. Was the front spoiler available on all Merak SS's (year-wise/Jpn-spec)? -- Last edit: 2019-05-12 21:07:04 |

dsl ![]() | I don't think it has front spoiler, so probably not 1975 SS, just 1973 plain version. Or is there plate info?? | 2019-05-12 20:49
