Alessandro58 CHYes, origin UK, made in I:

"Wikipedia" wrote A very aggressive coupe, Gtv was the Italian version of Nova Eagle build under license from English company Nova. Car design was from Richard Oakes and it featured a very particular cockpit opening: windshield and roof were hinged near the hood and tilted forward to give easier access. This car also used Volkswagen chassis and Volkswagen engine, built up to 1385 cc by Lombardi in order to achieve higher performance, appropriate for such a sporty body.

I had the same thought and it seems so.

"Wikipedia" wrote Licensed version of the Nova have been built in Austria as the Ledl, in Australia as the Purvis Eureka, in France as the Défi, in Italy as the Totem and Puma, in New Zealand as the Scorpion, in South Africa as the Eagle, in Switzerland as the Gryff, in the United States as the Sterling and Sovran and in Zimbabwe as the Tarantula. There have also been numerous un-licensed copies. Some versions featured pop-up head lamps and gull-wing doors, but the basic silhouette remained the same.

dsl SXUnsure how to separate 1973 Merak and 1976 Merak SS - SS had larger wheels and slightly flared arches but not sure here. Drab colour and sparse trim (not much chrome, no front spoiler) may be early non-SS. However it is not the 1977 poverty 2000GT as this had black side tape. 2011-02-15 17:09

IMDb mentions only Milan , but there is also Bergamo and San Remo. If I'm not wrong, the first scene was taken in Monaco.
