Baube ![]() | in this shot mostly the French ones are unusual.. i don't think i ever saw any of them as a kid or if i did, i was too young to know what i was looking at ( except the 12 , as long as it was wearing a Dacia suit.. ) but i do remember seeing the others ( of course Beetle & Mini a little bit more commonly ) -- Last edit: 2023-03-30 21:49:51 |

Lateef ![]() | In this case it's deliberate, as the Renault wears a fake French plate, implying the scene is set in Europe. | 2023-03-30 21:41
kudos ![]() | At least eight European cars in shot; was it unusual to see that many in Canada then? | 2023-03-30 21:34

Gamer ![]() | That's what I meant. Since the plates are French, we can assume the signs were installed for the movie and it is set in France. | 2019-11-06 19:10
Baube ![]() | i literally mean the signs ( on the building ) with the given location there is about 99.9999 % chances they would be in english... unless they were installed for the movie -- Last edit: 2019-11-06 19:00:19 |

Commander 57 ![]() | Good observation. The 1974 "Gran Fury" (actually called "Fury Gran Sedan" and "Fury Gran Coupe") did not come as a pillard sedan, only a hardtop. This is either a '74 Fury with incorrect nameplates or a '75 base Gran Fury with a '74 front clip. -- Last edit: 2019-11-06 14:40:42 |

night cub ![]() | They were available longer in Canada, 1975 was the last year in the US | 2019-11-06 04:24
night cub ![]() | This and the other one are very strange, they both have 1974 headlights and grilles, but they were still Furys that year. The Gran Fury fender badge like this didn't arrive until 1975, which have different grilles | 2019-11-06 04:20
Skywatcher68 ![]() | 1975, last year for the Custom 500. Virtually all were fleet vehicles but a few managed to find their way to dealers. Wikipedia says that there were some produced in Canada from 1979 - '81 but this can't be one of those. -- Last edit: 2019-11-06 04:14:30 |
