Weasel1984 PLThese dates are enough ;) - so they confirm there were only "TN-7s" TN 360s in UK before "Acties". 2020-02-26 15:24
dsl SXI don't think the Austins had shiny grille bits, so Princess and either posh wheels or Denovos, so HLS likely. 2020-02-25 23:14
dsl SXIt's an early S1 before Feb 71 - still has reflectors within the reversers on boot edge. So wide plate shroud = Daimler, maybe a 4.2 badge beside the plate. V12s did not arrive until July 72. 2020-02-25 22:34

Yes. Fake plate - GYM 311 is a common screen plate on P6s with various suffixes according to wjat mood the director was in. Main has 3500 undergrille, but spindly wheels and details in thumbs suggest a 2000 SC was also used; it could even be a single 2000 SC throughout, with the undergrille meaing the rare air-conditioning option. Or just a bodge-up of handy bits so they could burn it.

dsl SXMy dad worked for Rootes, so we had lots of Imps when I was a child. Just been checking pictures to reassure myself that it is a Hillman badge rather than Singer, and now I'm not so sure. The other issue is that as far as I can tell, the side trim on Californians and Super Imps was always a black fill, even on dark colours. So a white fill suggests a Singer, which before the facelift had over-riders but they were removed in 1969. So renaming as Chamois. 2020-02-24 13:47

dsl wrote I'm back after 10 storm-lashed days on Orkney. Which was an experience.

Agree not a Stiletto - no vinyl roof, and doesn't have slatted rear panel. Badge looks like Hillman script and not Singer (Chamois) plaque, so Californian gets it. Early one before 69 facelift as it doesn't have the shiny trim panel (similar to 69+ Super Imp).

Poor dsl (about the storm). An Italian girl living in UK told me it was very serious...

CougarTim USThat seems sound to me. Taillights exclude 1967. 1968-1969 had a 'Fairlane' script on the tailgate at lower right that I don't see any sign of here. I think this is specifically a 1966; Fairlane vs. Fairlane 500 probably indistinguishable from this one shot. 2020-02-23 23:09

Sunbar UKAlthough the grille details and its surround thickness with or without the chamfered corners is hard to see, the VX2300GLS is probably the best fit, a good call here.

The 1976 VX range had a slightly wider grille and the smaller gap with the headlamps suggest this is the VX2300GLS (as the only four headlamp version).

Weasel1984 PLBack to Honda - I did some research. "TN 360" was model name in UK, like was previously stated. Judging by some period price lists, I suspect that in UK they didn't have TN-V and first Hondas of this type imported there were already of the "TN-7" range = imported not before late 1975 or 1976. But more and better sources are needed. I hope there is something about it in dsl's annual market catalogues.

Just for the record, 1978+ Acty TN 550 is excluded.

johnfromstaffs ENThe car appears to have been messed about by someone. It has silly wheels. 2020-02-22 17:00
johnfromstaffs ENThe range is FE. The model within that range is more of a problem, it may be a VX4/90, but my suggestion is VX2300GLS. 2020-02-22 16:50
