rpcm PTThe particular shape of the rear bumper combined with the lack of the sill chrome trim identify a 1974+ Giulia Nuova Super. It can be a 1300 or a 1600 - there was also a (rare) Diesel version, but I don't know if it was exported to Germany... 2012-11-15 04:32
Weasel1984 PLYou mean "TS was not made since 1977"? As it wasn't. TX was produced till the end (but perhaps it wasn't exported anymore to all countries after the introduction of the R30 and 20 TS...) 2012-07-13 23:47
lirko FIRenault 16 TS 1976-1977

I have 16 TL 1977 and it does not have reversing lights but it does have same colour (151) Beige metal
151 has been used between 1976 and 1978 and it did not had any variants in same number (like many other metallic colour has).

TX- model has not been made in 1977 anymore and this car not has rear windscreen wiper like tx normally has.

DynaMike NLDSpécial would have had a white roof and dark plastic trumpets for the indicators. With those small hubcaps this will be a DSuper (or DSuper 5). Indeed, these new door handles were introduced in 1971 and indeed that would mean 1972+ as model year (as it is listed already). 2011-06-23 23:02
DynaMike NLThe position of the rear seats rather matches with a Familiale, I think (so that would mean there is a third row of seats as well...). 2011-06-23 22:59
DynaMike NL@Nightrider: Yes, I think it was still quite something rare to have a diesel engine, even in a big truck. In Holland many trucks were adapted with a Kromhout diesel engine, in France Panhard was well known for its diesel engines, in GB theer were some Perins engined trucks (and some otheres, but for sure not all trucks); though in Germany diesel engines for trucks will have been a bit more common: Krupp, Magirus-Deutz, Borgward and Mercedes-Benz, to name just the best known... 2011-06-23 22:57

ingo DEHmm, theoretical yes, authority-plates (that without letters in the combination), starting with an "8" were indeed issued for different civil protection-troops, otherwise this one is from München (M), and this movie was made around Hamburg (over 800 km away) and partly in Fulda in Hessen (the scenes with the old-style town, the sloped streets and the cars with "FD"-plates), so ca. in the middle between Hamburg and München, so it's unlikely a real plate.
Plus the quite strong federal structure of the German authorities, which excludes often operations in other countries.

So this specific one it probably a movie-fake. In this movie we have both, faked and real plates.

Exiv96 BEDid ZDF show this film because of the current batceria scare and its Hamburg origin ? Because when I heard the news last week, I immediately thought about "La maladie de Hambourg". 2011-06-07 00:18
Exiv96 BEWhen I saw part of that movie years ago, I quickly noticed this Land Cruiser was from the french market.

- it has yellow headlight bulbs.

- it has a french "F" oval sticker.

- and part of the french license plate is still visible behind the rear german plate ! :D

ingo DEAnd here: /vehicle_150705-Mercedes-Benz-300-D-W123-1982.html 2011-06-06 16:01
ingo DEYes. In the 50ies Mercedes Benz was the only German company, which had offered Diesel-engines for passengers cars, except a few Hansa 1800 Diesel, made by Borgward. Also Vans had no Diesel-engines back then (except Benzes), neither the VW T1, the Ford FK 1000, the Opel Blitz or the competitors.

In the 60ies, since Borgward disappeared, Mercedes stayed alone with Diesel-cars on the German market (plus Peugeot), until Opel has released the Diesel-version of the Rekord D (1972?). VW started in 1976 with the Golf D, one year later came the Passat D and the Audi 80 D.
The first Diesel-engine for a VW "Bulli" came in 1981, for the T3. The first Diesel-BMW was the 524td in 1983 (whose engine was mounted in the 2.4 liter Opels, too.

Here a later big Diesel-badge: /vehicle.php?id=403949 (though only for the US market).

ingo DENicht so ;) It looks too dark for "cliffgrün". 2011-06-06 14:55
ingo DEThe only thing about the Diesel-engines of the trucks, Wikipedia is mentioning ( http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borgward ), is the fact, that Borgward has produced them theirself.
One of the reasons, why the company smashed into the bankrupcy. It's just too expensive, to produce all items by yourself, especially when it's a not really big, just family-owned company and not a global player.

Possible, otherwise the colour above looks rather orange. I'm not really sure - because this tone wasn't in the K 70-colour range ;)
2011-06-06 14:31
ingo DEThese are from Hella. The Bosch-fog lamps have chrome going over the side edges ;) Yes, they were an optional extra, also available in a "bad weather package", as named in the sales brochures, which included: fog lamps, back fog light, heatable back window and a 55 Ah alternator (basic was 43 Ah).

The fog lamps itself, either Hella or Bosch, were all the same in the 70ies, just many different holders for different cars.
