mechatech ![]() | I'm leaning towards 72. The level beltline all the way to the sail pillar. Grill is too high for 70. Lack of heavy bumper guards of a 73. Side trim runs along the rocker panel; pre 72 the side trim ran along an edge at the bottom of the vertical sides like here: http://automotivemileposts.com/lincoln/lincoln1971selections.shtml | 2012-08-06 04:21

somename ![]() | Not a 78; fender skirts and lack of pinstripes would make it a 76 or 77 based on what we can see. Also there is no sign of a Town Car badge behind the wheel, so it's just a 1976 Lincoln Continental [53B]. | 2011-10-18 04:11

an_unusual_eye ![]() | i thought that maybe if we watched and waited long enough... a Bonneville would drive past. | 2011-01-24 06:38
rjluna2 ![]() | That one has 1979 taillights ![]() |

night cub ![]() | Yes 1978-79 model | 2011-01-22 20:36
FuegoTurbo ![]() | 1975 Chevrolet Monza. Buick Skyhawk and Oldsmobile Starfire had a different color panel between the taillights. I'm saying that right? |

CougarTim ![]() | Got the right make this time, but as far as I can tell it's a 1966 Cutlass. | 2011-01-22 04:01
CougarTim ![]() | That ain't no Cougar. I think it's a Buick Skylark from around 1971. |
2011-01-22 03:55 | ||
CougarTim ![]() | Presumably this is meant to be for the car in the foreground - which is a 1967 Chrysler Newport. | 2011-01-22 03:50

Sandie ![]() | Worth listing the Civic? | 2011-01-22 00:19
ingo ![]() | No 1973 Super Beetle. That one has elephant foot back lamps and a rounded front screen, this one not. It's not a Super Beetle at all, because it hasn't the higher front with the McPherson-axle. It's just a 1971 Sedan (1300 in Europe). 1971 due the banana vent in the C-pillar and the colour "silvermetallic". |

rjluna2 ![]() | Ingo, it was originally posted as 1973 model year and that is why I was asking ![]() |
2011-01-21 22:46 | ||
ingo ![]() | No they don't. But noone says something about a 1973 MY ![]() P.S. There was only one version with both indicators at the same time: http://www.toycar-shop.de/bilder/80/10001/800010575_2.jpg -- Last edit: 2011-01-21 22:46:09 |

antp ![]() | That VW van is not worth listing, IMHO (not rare, seen through window far away). So let's list the so-rare Lincoln with that picture then... -- Last edit: 2011-01-21 20:48:53 |

rjluna2 ![]() | I have been looking at that for many years trying to find out the difference between 1977 and 1978 Pontiac Catalina taillights and whatnot on the road -- Last edit: 2011-01-21 19:55:26 |

Commander 57 ![]() | Comparison photos from 1978 and 1979 Bonneville brochures illustrate rjluna2 is indeed correct. Listing this as a 1979. 1978: Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" 1979: Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" |

an_unusual_eye ![]() | curious to know. the standard catalog is often wrong, and i frequently see ads listed by publication year rather than model year... so you could very well be right... those were just the 1st two examples i found. | 2011-01-21 16:45
karoomay ![]() | GM H-body car of some sort. | 2011-01-21 16:43
rjluna2 ![]() | Hmm.. I'll double check with Tad Burness book. |
2011-01-21 15:51 | ||
an_unusual_eye ![]() | i'm seeing this style beginning in '78 both in the only retro ad i found online, and in the (often mistaken) standard catalog of american cars... certainly doesn't mean you're not right... as you generally are. my personal knowledge of 60s pontiac is pretty fair, but by the late 70s... not good enough to know from memory. | 2011-01-21 15:46
fsebus ![]() | Flxible ? Le pare-brise semble anguleux, et non bulbeux comme celui des GM "New Look/Fishbowl" -- Last edit: 2011-01-21 15:44:17 |

rjluna2 ![]() | Yep, the 1977 has multiple thin horizontal bars. -- Last edit: 2011-01-23 02:02:08 |
