Z2 ![]() | 328i (seen in HD). Not necessarily built in South Africa (I think only 318i/320i/323i were built in SA). According to https://www.valueyourcar.co.za/ the 328i went on sale in 1998 in SA, with other models going on sale in 1999. -- Last edit: 2021-03-08 12:44:44 |

rjluna2 ![]() | The 'Fairlane' is used for the mid-sized Ford series, but the subject vehicle is the full size ![]() |

Citsa ![]() | Agree. I was undecided between Mazda 616 Coupe and (Mitsubishi) Dodge Colt, but the shape of the rear side window gives this one away. Have a look at http://motoburg.com/imgs/6130-mazda-616-03.jpg.html vs. http://www.streetfire.net/photo/_1504290.htm | 2012-08-08 21:58
Citsa ![]() | It would most likely be called Fairlane. | 2012-08-08 21:51
ingo ![]() | No problem It's indeed 1964+, because of the bigger side windows. This is the crucial point. Maybe in ZA VW had used some older bits for the next MY's, but it's also not unlikely, that some owners took unoriginal parts for the repair or restoration. In more than 40 years a lot can happen... |
