cieraguy USfor one year Pontiac badged it like that... I hate when car makers change the name before they change the design. 2008-02-12 18:01
antp BEWe also have one listed as "2000 Sunbird", though that I am not sure that it is correct: /vehicle_52315-Pontiac-2000-Sunbird-1984.html 2008-02-12 09:32

drujon USIt is in fact a '76 Sedan Deville, and a Deville d'Elegance to be exact. The only way you got a hood ornament on a Deville (from the factory) was with the d'Elegance package and it was the "see through" crest that became standard on Deville's in '77. You'll often see '75-'76 Deville's with a full wreath and crest hood ornament added, the giveaway that it's not OEM is the crest with the V mounted on the leading edge of the hood.

mrcadillac SXDefinitely a 1976 Cadillac (grille design) and probably a "Sedan de Ville" (with that small, funny quarter window). 2008-02-11 04:46

antp BE"dépanneuse" in French, I do not know if there are precise therms for the various kind of these vehicles or if they are all called in the same way, but I'd say that this name is rather for those hauling the car; if the car is carried it is a "camion-plateau" I think.

antp BEWell, actually the movie consists in a trip from San Francisco (if I remember well) to Winnipeg. So I think that at least a part was actually filmed in USA, and that IMDB's locations list is incomplete. 2008-02-11 00:20
carchasesfanatic ESYes but out of the site, coloquially how do you call these? 2008-02-11 00:19
antp BEChassis-cab anyway.
But for our categories, the chassis-cab is used for light ones and the towing truck for heavy ones (the latter category was made for vehicles like the one seen in Terminator II, or for trucks which carry the car rather than hauling it).
