BeanBandit ![]() | All 96s from about 1970-71 sold here were also built here, not so for the 99, there were also Swedish made cars. | 2009-07-21 19:29

Weasel1984 ![]() | Acc. to Wikiepdia 99 were also assembled in Finland. But maybe there is some reason why BeanBandit didn't set the Finnish flag... (I guess it was him/you who added it to the 96's ). -- Last edit: 2009-07-21 16:53:00 |

antp ![]() | Nice, all these 99 ![]() 2-star could be listed separately if well visible on pics, but indeed 1-star should be regrouped, it does not add much to have them separately listed if same year & model. -- Last edit: 2009-07-21 15:47:47 |

BeanBandit ![]() | The last 300 cars made were 1980 model, all metallic blue, all with aluminium spoke wheels. One of this picture was the last Saab 96 ever made. http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiedosto:1980saab96v4jubilee.jpg |

DAF555 ![]() | The owner seems to be keen on modifications, I think both the front bumper, the new rear lights and the Diesel badge on the trunk are updates made by him. The rear lights was not uncommon to see on older cars during these cars normal lifetime, the dieselbadge was normally used only on US-market but I suppose you could order it as a sparepart if you wanted it. And the ones I´ve seen were mounted on the right side of the trunk as a complemantary to the 220D badge, so this looks homemade altoghether. Anyway, the colour of the car is probably original and I think it was introduced for the 1973 modelyear, possibly during 1972 modelyear. |

DAF555 ![]() | 1974-75, I think the shape of the right badge is 1975 but I´m not sure. | 2009-07-20 23:33
DAF555 ![]() | 1977+ | 2009-07-20 23:29
DAF555 ![]() | I would think so | 2009-07-20 23:28
DAF555 ![]() | Looks indeed to be a 3.0, so it´s a 1975 modelyear. | 2009-07-20 23:25
rjluna2 ![]() | Could this be 1974? Old style rearview mirror with new style seat. Comments? |

rjluna2 ![]() | At our market, we don't register these vehicles until they are sold... Once it is being sold, we get temporary sticker/paper plate that only good for thirty days. After thirty days, we get the plate and we affix it ourselves. |

rjluna2 ![]() | Do you think with bigger rearview mirror makes it 1976 or newer? | 2009-07-20 21:12
rjluna2 ![]() | With these seats, I think this is 1974 version. Comments? | 2009-07-20 21:11

DynaMike ![]() | 1968+ by bumper and vertical headlights. The naked wheels would indicate a 1975+ 1200, but those had black painted bumpers and trim... I'd list it as 1968 1300 until proof shows it was something different. | 2009-07-20 20:47
DynaMike ![]() | 1966/67 1300 or 1967 1500. Impossible to be sure without seeing the badge or the engine... | 2009-07-20 20:42
DynaMike ![]() | The 1500 was the first to get these air grilles (1970), but in 1971 both 1300 and 1302 had these (so not the 1200). By then the 1500 was dropped. There seem to be air grilles just behind the rear side windows, new for 1971. 1972 models had 28 air openings (indstead of the 10 shown here), so I'd say this is a 1971 1300 or 1302. Impossible to be sure which one without seeing the front (or without being able to read the writing on the rear engine lid). | 2009-07-20 20:37 |
