@andrepa: a 600er was and is always more expensive than a Silver Shadow. So it's absolutely not a low-spec poverty clunker.

you won´t believe it, the car of my father ( Commodore ) was stolen right in front of door in 1973 when we still had the iron curtain, never ever heard anything of it again, while the Rekord was sold when the Berlin wall came down, so possibly these car "Go East"!!!
next car was a OPEL Admiral A in some kind of brass color with Vinylroof again

they had a nice 1303 now and than! but only model of Scirocco comes from Herpa, special edition in the above silver with black trimed whippers etc.

ingo DESorry, but the WM 74-edition had also the matt black hoods as the Gelb-schwarze-Renner: http://www.vw-1303.com/sondermodelle.html

 There was no special edition of a DAF back then, or? Very odd, the reactions of my Dutch K 70-fellows, when I tell to an owner of a 74-MY "Hey, Weltmeisterjahrgang!"

ingo wrote P.S. Not a special colour. It's just texasgelb - but which may have cost extra charge, too. Some signal colours had cost extra back then at VW, not only metallic colours.
Annother extra option (available aftersales markt, but at VW, too) is the big foglight on the bumper.

i was taken in by 130rapid, with special edition VW Käfer 1303 World Cup 74 rallyegelb in mind
had some model of this, so these are steel wheels, but they are HOT
Gerd Müller made the final goal WM ´74 on my ninth birthday
so let it be an Omen Mario Gomez will do the job this time
