Drujon ![]() | The lack of chrome trim around the windows makes it a Townsman or Brookwood. |

tore-40 ![]() | Main image looked like 7-6-6-7 pattern, but that thumb was realy close to telling which one... Is there a shot showing just a fraction lower on the car, or even a shot of the steering wheel area? -- Last edit: 2021-09-26 12:11:34 |

CougarTim ![]() | 1972-1973; woodgrain was available on both Safari and Grand Safari. Block letters on tailgate and not 'Grand Safari' script rules out '73 Grand Safari. If it says 'PONTIAC', 1972-1973 Safari; if 'GRAND SAFARI', 1972 Grand Safari. Spacing of the letters looks like 'PONTIAC' to me. | 2021-09-25 18:25

GodzillaFan54 ![]() | Possible '69 Pontiac GTO in the bacground. | 2021-09-25 02:39
night cub ![]() | I found another article on them from Hemmings: https://www.hemmings.com/stories/article/1953-60-volvo-pv445-duett I also was googling brochures from 1960-65 range, the 1964 full-line NA brochure only includes the sedan: ![]() I did find this, but not in a larger size. It does have a stamp from a dealer in the state of Utah: Link to "www.worthpoint.com" -- Last edit: 2021-09-25 02:10:51 |

CougarTim ![]() | Lack of trim points to Custom 500 Ranch Wagon. 1964 Buick Wildcat four-door hardtop exiting the scene to the right |
2021-09-25 01:26 | ||
CougarTim ![]() | 1969 only. I think it is a base Newport and not a Custom. -- Last edit: 2021-09-25 01:19:16 |

CougarTim ![]() | 1969 LeSabre (ventiports above the fender crease; in 1970 they were below) | 2021-09-25 01:07
night cub ![]() | I would take away the "Made for USA" label. Most likely a gray-market import. | 2021-09-25 00:21
dsl ![]() | Sunroof was apparently standard on US 404s from 1965. Final year 1969 cars had new wheel format described as "smaller bolt-on hubcaps on grey wheels", replacing previous (1964+) "wheel covers with concentric rings". This seems to match 69 description. | 2021-09-25 00:20
dsl ![]() | Standard Catalog of Imported Cars isn't very helpful - there's no mention of US getting estates after the PV445 stopped late 1960. However it discusses the PV544 saloon until imports stopped late 65, and gives the Volvo grille badge as a 65 change, along with losing the upper bumper bar. So this looks a 65 only car. | 2021-09-25 00:13
HWJOE ![]() | 1970 - looks plain with dogdish hubs, Biscayne or BelAir? | 2021-09-25 00:01
HWJOE ![]() | 1972 Chevy Impala | 2021-09-25 00:00

karoomay ![]() | 2021-09-24 23:50
karoomay ![]() | Nice find, seems to be a 1968-69 by the side markers | 2021-09-24 23:45
karoomay ![]() | Profile of the car matches much better with a Fiat 128 rather than a Toyota, especially with these other shots of it: -- Last edit: 2021-09-24 23:54:03 |

rjluna2 ![]() | 1971 Volkswagen Station Wagon. | 2021-09-24 22:19
rjluna2 ![]() | Could this be 1971/72 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible? | 2021-09-24 22:19
rjluna2 ![]() | Could this be 1973 Volkswagen Sedan 'Beetle' due to black rear window frame and bumper? | 2021-09-24 22:18
rjluna2 ![]() | 1964 Chevrolet Impala 4-Door Sedan due to bright double door frame trim. Impala: Link to "oldcarbrochures.com" Bel Air: Link to "oldcarbrochures.com" |
2021-09-24 22:15 | ||
rjluna2 ![]() | It might be 1972 Chevrolet Townsman/Brookwood or 1973 Chevrolet Bel Air ![]() |

night cub ![]() | 1968 | 2021-09-24 21:37
night cub ![]() | Pre-1973 with small metal bumper guards. 1973 bumper guards were thicker and black rubber. I think this may be a Swinger coupe? -- Last edit: 2021-09-24 21:34:04 |

night cub ![]() | Only the RX-4 was sold in the US, no piston engines | 2021-09-24 21:14
zodiac ![]() | I remember those as Mazda 929 Estate, fitted with an 83 hp four pot. However it seems that in the U.S. Wankel engines were available for the estates as well (RX-4). Must have been rather fast, as long as the engine last. Is there any way to see what engine was fitted?. Some Estates had some chrome strips on the side, were they for the Wankel engines only? |
