rjluna2 a écrit It might be 1972 Chevrolet Townsman/Brookwood or 1973 Chevrolet Bel Air

The lack of chrome trim around the windows makes it a Townsman or Brookwood.

tore-40 NOMain image looked like 7-6-6-7 pattern, but that thumb was realy close to telling which one... Is there a shot showing just a fraction lower on the car, or even a shot of the steering wheel area?

CougarTim US1972-1973; woodgrain was available on both Safari and Grand Safari. Block letters on tailgate and not 'Grand Safari' script rules out '73 Grand Safari. If it says 'PONTIAC', 1972-1973 Safari; if 'GRAND SAFARI', 1972 Grand Safari. Spacing of the letters looks like 'PONTIAC' to me. 2021-09-25 18:25

night cub USI found another article on them from Hemmings:
https://www.hemmings.com/stories/article/1953-60-volvo-pv445-duett

I also was googling brochures from 1960-65 range, the 1964 full-line NA brochure only includes the sedan:

I did find this, but not in a larger size. It does have a stamp from a dealer in the state of Utah:

night cub USI would take away the "Made for USA" label. Most likely a gray-market import. 2021-09-25 00:21
dsl SXSunroof was apparently standard on US 404s from 1965. Final year 1969 cars had new wheel format described as "smaller bolt-on hubcaps on grey wheels", replacing previous (1964+) "wheel covers with concentric rings". This seems to match 69 description. 2021-09-25 00:20
dsl SXStandard Catalog of Imported Cars isn't very helpful - there's no mention of US getting estates after the PV445 stopped late 1960. However it discusses the PV544 saloon until imports stopped late 65, and gives the Volvo grille badge as a 65 change, along with losing the upper bumper bar. So this looks a 65 only car. 2021-09-25 00:13

zodiac SEI remember those as Mazda 929 Estate, fitted with an 83 hp four pot. However it seems that in the U.S. Wankel engines were available for the estates as well (RX-4). Must have been rather fast, as long as the engine last.

Is there any way to see what engine was fitted?. Some Estates had some chrome strips on the side, were they for the Wankel engines only?
