foxit wrote It's a tomos 4L or APN4 (depending on the country it was sold in). The rear fork, shocks and chainguard leave no doubt. The tool boxes on the back were only availlable in some countries on this model and make it harder for people to tell the difference with a puch.

This is a Tomos 4L made for export to Nederlands.

meharidude DKMehari on "black plates" indicating either 1) a four seater or 2) a pickup converted from yellow "ute" plates to regular plates.

Black plated 4 seaters were extremely expensive, so many bought them as 2 seater utes as tax were cheaper, however when they were 4 years old, they were called in for annual inspections. So a lot of utes were converted to "black plates" when they were 4 years old, by paying a fraction of the original tax, to avoid inspections.

Weasel1984 PLTo me it is rather a ca 1978+ Z-range with this roof and this type of badging ("Fiat" label at the grille and not above it).

Edit: Yes - confirmed by brochures it is possible to find in the net - this design had to be introduced together with the introduction of the Z-Range, what was during the 1977.

Weasel1984 PLOM had different badge and grill. When the make became Iveco in the early 80's there was an Iveco lettering in the centre of the grill and no rectangle next to the headlamp (in this place where badges in sort of Fiat, Unic, Magirus etc.). 2009-10-15 18:50
ingo DE:think: Somewhere I've seen a German magazine-article or an advertise about this car in addition with the name "Sunbeam". It was written there, that the export to Germany shall be start soon, but in fact this car was never sold here. Perhaps a few dozen were imported by single Chrysler-dealers, but that was all.

Of the 1978 Sunbeam Horizon (strange: it was sold here with the same name as the French Horizon, from the same dealers) there were imported a few more, but due its heavy quality-problems -worse than the French Horizon- it disappeared very soon.

DAF555 SEEuropean Chrysler in the late seventies was a mess ;)

The 424 never made it to sweden, it was still on plan here but I guess they didn´t find it attractive enough after all.

DAF555 SEI just received an answer from my danish friends, it was sold as Chrysler Sunbeam 1600 in denmark too.
Licenseplate is not clear on this page, it might be danish, but since we don´t have any of that name earlier I think we can call it by the scandinavian name.
2009-10-14 19:51
DAF555 SEI don´t know about danish market, or where this one was licensed, but on swedish market they sold as Chrysler Sunbeam 1600 DL. 2009-10-14 19:28
