G-MANN UK1970 Production numbers: 261 GT350 Fastbacks, 380 GT500 Fastbacks. http://www.saac.com/files/registry/68-70-prod.pdf

So GT500 is more likely.

eLMeR MHAs C-50 and C-60 (and later C-70) shared almost all their wheelbases, there is no possibility to "see" a model from this picture...
Additionally, this truck could be a GMC model.

dsl SXThanks - definitely Mk2 Cortina. A hint it has Rostyles so 68+ and maybe GT trim in US.. 2012-11-26 06:07
atom SE@dsl, have you looked into this one? 2012-11-26 05:03

vbrnes502 USNo, this is a 1974 Plymouth Satellite Police Car. 2010-12-26 18:46
lenazavaroni OMIt's very similar to an Opel Ascona A two door (U.S. [through Buick] Opel 1900 pre 1974-reg bumpers) but I'm pretty certain it's a MkII Cortina 2010-06-12 17:21
HWJOE US1965 impala convertible, the roof is too thick for a vinyl topped hardtop coupe.
Only impalas had 2dr hardtops/convertibles in 1965, bel-airs and biscaynes were 2 dr sedan with a pillar/post.

Pomtidom NLThe frontbrake, the shape of the frame and the side covers make me think it's a Triumph TR6C built between 1971 and 1973 (oil-in-frame model) 2010-04-02 15:45
929V6 NLThe car in front looks more like a Pagoda SL to me. I really can't think of any other existing car than a Cortina that comes closer to this... 2010-03-31 23:10
taunusford BE
the car in front is a thunderbird, so it could be a ford dealer... but I see also a strangness about the cortina. And a Cortina is a lot smaller than an Tbird
2010-03-29 15:28
medimanic GRI don't vote the Cortina neither. The roof is not even close to Cortina's shape.. 2010-03-26 09:16
junkman UKIt is a Cortina MKII. 2010-03-25 13:32
junkman UKCorrect. 2010-03-25 13:31
rjluna2 USHmm... I checked both Dammann and Burness books and the only think I see is the thin trim on the rocker panel belongs to Bel Air.

Am I looking at the thin trim at the rocker panel on this example?

929V6 NLAre you sure it isn't a Cortina? That panel might have damage like this: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/74/195174488_fc0cb83789.jpg 2010-03-24 17:59
rjluna2 USThis should be listed as 1973 Chevrolet Caprice Estate. 2010-03-24 12:26
DynaMike NLIt is quite obvious when you'd have a look at the second thumbnail... 2010-03-24 12:14
Sunbar UKI agree, this is not a Ford Cortina.

There are too many minor differences, but the main identifiable reason for me, is the panel under the rear bumper is the wrong shape at the ends.

Ddey65 US1967 or 1968 Coupe De Ville.

2010-03-24 01:25
Ddey65 US1973 or later Chevrolet C-Series, no less than a C-60.

2010-03-24 00:15
CougarTim USWith those stripes, I believe this is a 1970 Ford Mustang Shelby (either a GT350 or a GT500)

DynaMike NL1963. There were twice as many Coupe DeVille [6357] as Series 62 [6257]. 2010-03-23 23:31
CougarTim USAfter watching the video you posted, they definitely used two different cars in the chase. The Fury III hardtop is the main one for the driving, but they use a pillared Fury II sedan as a stunt double for the crashes (as in the main image here).

The Fury III should have 4 taillights, but it appears they removed the inner pair to make it better match the lesser sedan and the Belvedere.

DynaMike NL1959/60. Or a 220 S [W180] from 1956-1959. AFAIK there were no external differences, except for the badge which is not clearly visible, here.

Or is it three cars?

CougarTim US1964 Pontiac Tempest LeMans, I think 2010-03-23 21:09
CougarTim US1965 Plymouth Fury

In some of images it looks like a Fury II four-door sedan, and in some it looks like a Fury III four-door hardtop that's been stripped of some of its trim. I'm not sure if it's the quality of the images or if they used two cars.
