eLMeR ![]() | I assume this truck is identified as a C-20 / ¾-ton model due to the 8-stud wheels? So if a C-20, then as "panel-type doors" Suburban it should have the CS20906 (6-cylinder engine) or CE20906 (V8) internal code. The current identification says CE-20: what detail helps us to see the difference between the 2 types of engine in this picture? Same thing for the model year: apart from the 1968+ side reflector, what clue gives a different model year than the "standard" 1968+? But in fact, was the GMC Suburban also sold in Sweden? If so, is there details in what is visible to say more than a 1968+ GM Suburban? ⇒ 1968 Chevrolet Suburban [CS/CE20906]? or ⇒ 1968 GM Suburban? -- Last edit: 2014-12-24 00:54:30 |

DAF555 ![]() | The bumpers of the 200/220 W115 and the 230 W114 are the same, it´s the 250 that has got the double bumper in the front. http://de.geocities.com/m100_63_69/230_vor_Burg.html http://www.strichachtseite.de/ The 230 was divided in two series for 1974, with the facelifted version, 230.4/230.6. Earlier cars are called just 230 and equipped with the sixcyliner engine from the previous fintail 230. This Ambulance is pre facelift, and as I have said twice earlier they didn´t come with the four cylinder engine here. The 230.4 replaced the four cylinder 220. -- Last edit: 2006-06-16 18:35:51 |

Ralph ![]() | This car had the 1968 4cyl bumper --> W115 --> this is't a 230/6 notiz: 230(/4) is W115 4Cyl 230/6 is W114 6Cyl and only with the facelift |

DAF555 ![]() | There were about 120 of these Mercedes Ambulances left in Sweden 1989 in the registry, all of them were equipped with the 230 engine. | 2006-05-20 01:17

DAF555 ![]() | Still, no cars looking like this were sold on the swedish market as 1973 models, they were 1974 or 75. And this one is a 1975 car, nothing else. Being sold in june, it was probably even produced in 1975. It´s of course of some interest that production began in august 73, but it´s of far greater interest that they were actually sold as 1974 cars when they reached the market. |
2006-04-08 00:09 | ||
Ralph ![]() | The model '74 is the US model with the big bumper. The model '73 meens all (euro) cars with black plastic grille. 1602-2002 The model '75 is only the low budget 1502 without chrome beadings. |
2006-03-29 03:27 | ||
DAF555 ![]() | That´s not very likely, and evenso it would still be given the correct modelyear in the registry. Furthermore it doesn´t match the 1973 specs, at least not for this market. | 2006-03-26 23:14
antp ![]() | Could be an "old" car that waited two years before being registered ? | 2006-03-26 14:10
DAF555 ![]() | Well, that makes no sense at all. This car is built and sold as a 1975 model and if that wouldn´t have been possible to find out it is of the same specification as the 1974 models, black grille and square rear lights. Even if that modification happened in august of -73 it was the news for -74, so why call it a -73? Were they sold as 1973 models in Germany for two years? | 2006-03-26 13:34
