Stationcar is the Danish name. In Sweden it would be Combi.

sixcyl FRDoes the story take place in 1975? In this case, this Dauphine is very anacronistic, these "pie" were written off from use by police, replaced by Renault 8 or 12 or Simca 1100 :/ 2012-04-20 08:34

DynaMike NL1500 had a flatter grille than 1300, and 1500 had longer rear bumper ends than 1300. So here it will be impossible to be sure.
Btw, this is a wagon (Break), not a sedan.

Lateef NOIndeed, I thought it was strange too. The only vehicle with a new plate I could find was the Volvo 164, but it changed to an old one in a later scene. Here you can see the new plate: /vehicle_494921-Opel-Rekord-1972.html

Your explanation sounds very reasonable. The director was very into this movie, so it wouldn't surprise me if they spent a year or two completing the shooting.
