Exiv96 ![]() | Interesting detail : it has the rounded rear wheelarches of the JDM Bellett B-type. /vehicle.php?id=1608678 |

Lateef ![]() | DidierF is correct. | 2019-10-05 15:11
karoomay ![]() | 1972-73 taillights | 2016-08-08 11:45
Weasel1984 ![]() | SL 12H 210 - rear view The very first "mass" produced buses of this type from the years 1970-71 were named "Saurer 5SH 4 F-OLL" and, as I understand, in next years they were rebranded to "Steyr" and "Steyr-Graf" (model "SL 12H 210" in both cases). This bus has only "Steyr" lettering and it is dated for 1972, so it had to be the 1st year for this badging/naming. -- Last edit: 2015-11-29 16:00:04 |

dsl ![]() | Strong possibility, though not absolutely definite. Worth keeping the "Built in: TH" as it is very unusual occurence with info very scarce. | 2015-03-02 17:39
DidierF ![]() | The three tuk-tuk of the movie all seem 1. to each have an important role and 2. to be of the exact same kind (look at the windshield and roof ensemble, at the headlights, at the walking board (I mean marchepied). So, it would be quite sufficient to identify one of them (I think they are Hino Humbee, but I'd wait for kegare or an other specialist to confirm) to have them 'kept together'… exactly where they do belong. -- Last edit: 2015-03-02 17:22:18 |

Sandie ![]() | I agree, but it keeps them together (rather than across 870 pages of unknowns) should someone try to systematically clean them. Similar case with the Beach Buggies. Most of them have a maker but it will be almost impossible to find it for all of them. |
2015-03-02 17:11 | ||
DidierF ![]() | Once again, this "custom made" appellation is not satisfying. Hino Humbee? | 2015-03-02 16:52
DidierF ![]() | Again, quite debatable and unsatisfying, this "custom made" appellation. Hino Humbee? | 2015-03-02 16:50
DidierF ![]() | "Custom Made", really? It looks like a Hino Humbee, as this one: /vehicle.php?id=621435 |
2015-03-02 16:48 | ||
DidierF ![]() | It now appears as "Built in: TH". Is it sound? | 2015-03-02 16:39
antp ![]() | "converted in" is not "made in", and the "made for" on the site is not used for RHD/LHD differences | 2015-03-02 16:34
robi ![]() | Please set as "built in Netherlands" & "made for Thailand" In the 50s and 60s, all Ford Taunus exported to RHD countries were converted in Amsterdam. Source (German only): http://www.fomcc.de/niederlande.htm |

Q-Ball ![]() | those tail lights are 1971+ | 2012-11-02 21:20
CougarTim ![]() | I think I can make out FARGO lettering above the grille (which is the same thing as a Dodge) And whether or not Dodge/Fargo were sold there, a few made the trip anyway: http://2bangkok.com/wp-content/uploads/2004/05/54-3_Fargo.jpg -- Last edit: 2012-04-08 01:37:43 |

| tom11 | Thats definitely a 1958 Dodge http://www.californiaclassix.com/images/c16-7.jpg the Japanese never made such a direct copy. | 2012-04-08 01:17 | ||
cortina.chris ![]() | thanks ingo. | 2011-12-11 18:51
ingo ![]() | Ah, here: /vehicle.php?id=418123 | 2011-12-11 18:46
ingo ![]() | Hmm, somewhere dsl had already said something about the Avengers in the Iran. I just cannot find the comment. | 2011-12-11 18:45
cortina.chris ![]() | The other view shows the filler cap at the rear so possible that it is a thames van. -- Last edit: 2011-12-11 18:44:27 |
2011-12-11 18:41 | ||
cortina.chris ![]() | Where there any rhd markets for sunbeam avengers ? also how was the Iranian Avenger badged? | 2011-12-11 18:38
cortina.chris ![]() | An Escort if it was a van the fuel cap would be visable behind drivers door in this view. Escort and Squire had fuel cap opposite rear corner. Also squire had a sliding passenger rear window not found on escorts. | 2011-12-11 18:25
gkuehn ![]() | Land Rover Serie II/IIA (Fenster, Türscharniere) 109 Station | 2011-10-07 15:02
dsl ![]() | Probably should be renamed Sunbeam as comment in /vehicle_434689-Sunbeam-Avenger-1970.html that Sunbeam was used outside Europe. | 2011-09-24 16:13
Jale ![]() | Isuzu Elf - http://inacafe.exblog.jp/7760257/ | 2011-09-21 00:58
CamaroFan ![]() | T-650 ? | 2011-09-01 16:18
cl82 ![]() | Yes, they did and they still have: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AutoAlliance_Thailand Sadly, the article doesn't provide any information about what they built in the 70s. | 2011-08-13 11:03
ingo ![]() | No idea. Had Ford there a plant? | 2011-08-05 12:57
dsl ![]() | Possible Thai assembly?? | 2011-08-03 23:43
dsl ![]() | Possible Thai assembly?? | 2011-08-03 23:43
dsl ![]() | On /vehicle.php?id=46352 I wrote there was Thailand assembly for Ford UK models - including Corsair, Capri, Anglia, Escort, Cortina - in late 60s to early 70s, so this is probably local assembly. Am away from home at the moment so can't remember or check the source, but it may have been World Car Catalogues. | 2011-08-03 23:42
CougarTim ![]() | Jetstar 88, Dynamic 88, or Super 88. No surefire way to distinguish which one from this angle. | 2011-07-28 04:04
ingo ![]() | But then 1971, not 1968 any more. | 2011-07-28 00:01
dsl ![]() | Yes - in L/XL trim. Have picked out 2 GXLs in other entries. Thailand seems to be one of the rare places where both UK and German Fords sold (especially in RHD). | 2011-07-27 23:46
ingo ![]() | until? | 2011-07-27 23:44
m.pfaffeneder ![]() | No, only a few monuments are still there. | 2011-07-27 23:43
ingo ![]() | Is the discotheque still there? At my one and only München-visit in 1993 (to an potential girlfriend) we'd been there. IIRC, it was in the former departure-hall. | 2011-07-27 23:39
Lateef ![]() | 1971-74. | 2011-07-27 23:38
Lateef ![]() | 1966-70. | 2011-07-27 23:37
m.pfaffeneder ![]() | Indeed, it´s a 1302. | 2011-07-27 23:28
dsl ![]() | I saw it too and eventually decided Cortina Mk2 or just possibly Corsair. | 2011-07-27 23:25
m.pfaffeneder ![]() | Flughafen München-Riem (Airport Munich-Riem), 1939-1992 Riem is a district in Munich. Since its partial demolition in 1992, there is a huge mall, called "Riem-Arcaden" (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riem_Arcaden) There are also apartment buildings and "Messe München", which is a fairground (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messe_M%C3%BCnchen) |
2011-07-27 23:25 | ||
dsl ![]() | Good spot, but not a Viva either - it's 1963+ Victor 101 [FC]. Probably worth a page. | 2011-07-27 23:22
ingo ![]() | Assembled where for Thailand? | 2011-07-27 23:21
ingo ![]() | Not a 1302? Flatiron-taillights and 4 vents in the hood... |
2011-07-27 23:20 | ||
ingo ![]() | Sorry atom, but the white car on the thumbnail looks not like a Kadett B. The back is too long. It's rather its British derivate Vauxhall Viva. ![]() |
2011-07-27 23:17 | ||
ingo ![]() | So many Bluebirds in the Thailand-scenes, were they locally assembled? ![]() |
2011-07-27 23:15 | ||
ingo ![]() | What's on the left? Fender and sideline looks somehow British. | 2011-07-27 23:14
ingo ![]() | Quite unusual, such a heavy drinker in use as a taxi. | 2011-07-27 23:12 |
