car nerd wrote It looks like it may a Caliente ragtop.

You're right, it's a Caliente Model 25. But in 1964, the marketing for european countries continued to use the label "S-22" instead of Caliente and these cars have a particular emblem with an S-22 medaillon on the front fender. This one was a french Comet.

eLMeR MHWritten in the page I mentioned above:
Quote Rover 8 was 88” SIIA, 1961 to 1967(GS 12v positive earth). Can be General Service (12v) or Fitted For Radio (FFR 24v). Also available as Station Wagon, Hard Top, CL (Commercial Logistics) etc.
Rover 9 was 109” SIIA, 1961 to 1966 (Truck ¾ Ton)(FFR 24v negative earth.) The following only applied to Rovers 8 and 9: if they had the suffix “/1”, it meant they had the strengthened diff (Salisbury) and half-shafts on the rear axle. Suffix “/2” denoted that neither had been strengthened, in other words the normal civilian specification.

This would make "our" FFV a Rover 9?

eLMeR MHFor non-insiders like me: 24V FFR stands for 24 Volts- Fitted For Radio.

marklandynut wrote I agree with Calum, this is an early 24V FFR unit. to give it the correct military name it's a Rover 8,...

It seems that Rover 8 were only Series IIa models.
With 12 volts system when GS / General Service vehicles or 24 volts system for FFR ones.

marklandynut wrote ...but mere mortals like us would know it as a Series 2A 1962-1966.

As mere mortal too, I strongly agree with the IIa precision if the 1962 model year is kept. But is the 24V complement compulsory, as all FFR Rover 8 had apparently a 24 volts system?

⇒ 1962 Land-Rover Series IIa FFR?

marklandynut UKThe straight rear crossmember and big rear bumpers mean its an ex-military Land Rover. It is also just possible to see the two electrical sockets on the rear of the body, the big screw covered 4 pin Warner socket, and the smaller flap covered 12 pin NATO socket. This means its a Series 2A built between 1962 and 1968. 2010-06-20 00:22

No, he meant the turn indicators that Renault put on the Ramblers sold in France.

ProwlerX USI think I see what you're saying, but the only parts of the car that matches with the one from '68 is the bonnet, the rest of the frame looks to be taken from a small dump truck. I'd say custome made. 2008-09-18 22:30
antp BEI renamed it to Holden, then renamed it back to Ford ;) 2008-09-18 12:00
antp BEI doubt that it was made for this movie, there is no real reason why they used that car rather than a normal one, except that they probably wanted one looking funny/old. So if it is not one of the six real cars from the other movie, it is rather a replica/custom made.

What I meant that someone posted a page containing Holden Premier HQ for this movie subject and then I deleted my comments on this page. And then, when I checked the "all comments" with a Holden Premier HQ page, it disappeared at the time. Sorry for the confusion, valiant1962 was able to create another Holden Premier HQ page. I guess that is over now.
