And the windscreen is a bit too large for a 1960-63 MY.

electra225 IT1975 model year for the side trim. Since the film is dated 1974 this is a very early one whose production began in August 1974. 2017-10-11 19:43

tore-40 NOIRS, so probably a 1302, yes, also the front fenders match, and then a 1971 only indeed. 2017-10-11 07:10
tore-40 NOI see a flat hubcap and offset wipers, but no horn grille on RH fender?

Consistent with a 1966 VW 1200 A

(With the 250 DM optional Faltschiebedach or a fabric sun roof, and the 150 DM chrome option, including the missing molding added)

1958 only narrow grille + quarterlights but from that perspective it looks like a Fiat 500 a bit

@the non-German-speakers: it's about "bad" (= with Nazi-content) and usually restricted combinations on German license plates. And a bit about stupid political correctness-wanking in German authorities [:kiki]

In some counties these Nazi-Time-related combinations (SA, SS, KZ, HJ, NS, sometimes even SD) were and still are forbidden. But somewhere else you can get them on request, if accidentally they are your initials -and other local traffic authorities never cared about that. Very inconsistent...

dsl SXOK- call it Austin. 2012-09-01 13:21
rpcm PTI agree with you when you say it's definitely a Mk II, but to me the grille looks more the 11-bar Austin one. The Morris grille was very specific in the Mk II Mini and doesn't seem to be this one. About the bonnet badge, both used round badges with the specific colors and crests of each marque, so it's not easy to identify what's this one. ;) 2012-09-01 04:45
