mike962 DECORRECTION

this looks like a Nissan-Diesel carrier, think you can just read the letters on the bumper

if only the letters on the actual crane would be better visible....

robi DEPlease set as "built in Netherlands" & "made for Japan"

In the 50s and 60s, all Ford Taunus exported to RHD countries were converted in Amsterdam.

nzmax NZFrom a Prince History book, with that style Gloria badge, and those hubcaps, it would be the most basic Gloria available, the A30S, fitted with the 4cylinder 1982cc H20 engine. These were also available ex factory with LPG. 2015-02-28 09:23

Lateef NOBack then, the Nissan marque was used for the bigger and more expensive models (Cedric, Gloria, Silvia, President, Laurel, Skyline etc.), while the Datsun name was used for the smaller and cheaper ones (Bluebird, Sunny, Cherry etc.).

CougarTim USSatellite or Coronet for sure. Based on the trim, I'd say 1969 Plymouth Satellite sedan: http://farm9.static.flickr.com/8023/7663495382_08e2e27da9.jpg

1969 Coronet 440 had similar trim, but I think it'd dip a bit more before the rear wheel.

Lateef NO[Image: 68cr1.1.jpg] [Image: 68cr2.jpg] 2013-06-30 22:38
dsl SXYes. I don't really know anything about Mk1 and Mk2 exports to J but assume they did trickle through in small numbers (similar to mid-late 60s Rootes and BMC - paykanhunter found a 1968 Rootes brochure some months ago, and some Minis and ADO16 went over in period); I also think we've had a couple of Corsairs in J but haven't checked. There is a story about Mk3 Cortinas being slightly too wide for one of the J tax bands so the bodywork of J-bound cars was clamped on the Dagenham assembly line to narrow it by the necessary fractions of an inch to slip through.
