jagtecs ![]() | As can be seen by the most recent photo, she has been stripped, media blasted and is now awaiting welding. Engine has been rebuilt and painted. The search continues for an exhaust manifold, as one of the originals was cracked. New carpets, headlining, woodwork and steering wheel arrived last week. The correct Voxson FM 8-track stereo arrived in the post this morning. Looking forward to when it will be finished in a few months time. Also, the son of the original owner has been in contact via the Jensen club, which is nice. | 2021-06-16 14:45 | ||

jagtecs ![]() | Some photos of the car so far, at the start of the restoration. New (rare) door handles have been sourced today & the new colour chosen. The original colour was ‘ICI Mist Grey metallic’ which is now unavailable so the car will be painted in a modern Rolls Royce colour ‘Tempest Silver metallic’. Lots more money to be spent unfortunately. 🙈 |

jagtecs ![]() | Hi Interceptor80. Really great to know that your grandfather once owned HPP 4G. I still own it and as a matter of fact, after many years and failed restoration attempts (time wasting garage owners!) she underwent the start of a professional restoration just 3 weeks ago! The car has now been stripped and the engine is due to be removed next week, ready for the shell to be sand blasted. It’s going to be a full and total restoration. 🙂 If you have any photos of the car under your grandfathers ownership, I would love to see them! |

It had an Air-Call radio phone installed, which can be seen in use in one of the many episodes." "In actual fact this was not an Earls Court show car. Tony Good of Good Relations always had the use of a car, which doubled as a London based Press Car for photo shoots etc and this is one of them. This was the other car fitted with Air Call 2 way radio, call-sign Gold 1." |

Sunbar ![]() | ^ I have to agree this is likely to be a 1954-1957 Morris-Commercial LC5 with the headlights mounted flush with the front wings. There is no headlamp visible on the side of the radiator shell and it has the restyled curved bonnet pressings in the thumbnail. -- Last edit: 2018-11-21 19:07:05 |

winchester IV ![]() | Series 1 Winchesters had a Perkins 4.99 Diesel engine. Most if not all started as two tone grey although some were very quickly painted black. Series 2 Winchesters look the same as the Series 1 but have a 1500cc pre x flow Ford Kent engine. Series 3 Winchesters had the same body bot the 1700cc v4 Essex engine from the transit. They also had Transit axles and wheels giving a rather large gap around the arches. Series 4 Winchesters were an all new cab and the most modern looking cab until the 1986 Metrocab. |
