Q-Ball JPWhen I lived in Japan, it was in an Osaka suburb right near the Expo '70 fairgrounds. The Tower of The Sun is still there, and the grounds are now home to a massive botanical garden. 2015-12-05 17:01
130rapid PLAgree, 1964-1965 [40] is possible. No visual changes. 2015-12-04 18:40
DidierF FR"1964", plutôt, non, 130rapid ?

(Ah, je vois que tu as inscrit [41]. Mais comment pouvoir distinguer une [40] de 1964 et une [41] de 1966 ?)

130rapid PLNope. It's 1966 Nissan Junior. 2015-12-04 13:42
Lateef NONo, this generation was still badged Toyopet - change to Toyota occured with the launch of the next generation, in 1971. 2015-12-04 09:42
DidierF FRI found something closer:

Isuzu TXD 50-A (1963).

DidierF FRI dated them with TractorData.com.

It seems they were all made in Michigan.

… No. It appears that some were made in Dagenham, and others in Anvers.

lightninboy USMaybe call the flail chopper tractor a 4000 and the trailer tractor a 5000.

Interestingly, a flail chopper is usually used in standing forage, but they appear to be chopping cut forage.

130rapid PLOr maybe 'New Colt'? Same way as 'Fiat 500 Nuova'. 2015-12-03 22:28
DidierF FROK, enough with the [*] vehicles for this movie. There are plenty of the sort, I won't exhaust the source.

So, Yôji Yamada's

written with Akira Miyazaki.

A tragedy and a renaissance for a family of miners, leaving Kyushu and settling as farmers in Hokkaido. Most of the movie tells the trip between Nagasaki and Hokkaido. Soft spoken, very well acted by Chieko Baishô,

Hisashi Igawa (her husband) and Chishû Ryû (the grand father). Many moments of despair, and some happy times too, especially in the very end.

Documentary-like, through the trip, about Japan in 1970.

(Osaka World Fair.)

Trains, trains, trains:

(and boats too).

We stop and go in Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Osaka, Tokyo and finally east of Hokkaido. And the trip is worth the admission fee.
