michel ![]() | Il s' agit d' un GRK 10 ,cabine plus large que celle d'un GAK. Je pense que ce camion appartenait aux transports Wagner et Bonnefois de Vitry le françois (51). |

dsl ![]() | As the 12/50 was launched March 63, I'd guess that is the earliest date the grille would have been available, and is close enough to 64my US launch of Sports 1200. Perhaps Triumph just fitted it to all LHD convertibles from mid-63? | 2012-02-25 17:09
Bebert ![]() | Tiré de ce site: http://www.vtr.org/ "The U.S. Market .../... the Herald 1200 name was replaced in the U.S. during the 1964 model year by "Sports 1200"; the latter featured the home market 12/50's grille and a 48 hp. version of the 1147cc engine. .../... " But nothing about continental 1200 convertibles.. That's strange, 'cause the pics you show are enough clear... |

dsl ![]() | This 12/50 grille on EU convertibles is one of the things I've picked up from our collection - eg /vehicle_18283-Triumph-Herald-1200-Convertible-1967.html , /vehicle_147620-Triumph-Herald-1200-Convertible-1964.html , /vehicle_209631-Triumph-Herald-1200-Convertible-1964.html , /vehicle_388246-Triumph-Herald-1200-Convertible-1961.html , /vehicle_77107-Triumph-Herald-1200-Convertible-1961.html . I don't know when it started - /vehicle_110122-Triumph-Herald-1200-Convertible-1961.html and /vehicle_114745-Triumph-Herald-1200-Convertible-1961.html suggest that some (early?) EU convertibles had ordinary grilles. -- Last edit: 2012-02-25 14:48:40 |

MAIS PAS "MADE FOR E" !!!!!!!!! | 2012-02-25 09:33
Bebert ![]() | Never heard that... But seems you're right... for US cars: http://www.triumph-brochure-page.de/gfx/brochure_opt/herald/Herald_20.jpg And the pic is really to blurry to see anything. |

dsl ![]() | It's the wrong sort of sign. A direction sign - even in the middle of nowhere - would have an arrow shape or a painted arrow. This is a boundary arrival sign as you enter the place. No wonder the hitch-hiker is so confused, standing on the wrong side of the road to get a lift from the Citroen. And I'm not irritated - nice mellow music playing in the background - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-X4qxr6Z6s . | 2012-02-24 23:18

DynaMike ![]() | 1958+ (license plate in the centre). I recently saw (on facebook) a similar version with Glaçauto windows; it was an EDF van. I cannit find it back, though ![]() |

DynaMike ![]() | The grille and the double chevron above it make this a 1967+ version, but it seems to have only two side windows and front suicide doors... So must be a 1963/64 version indeed, with a new bonnet. | 2012-02-24 22:13

DynaMike ![]() | Actually the straighter roofline and the new taillights make this a 1963+ 17 [L6] (without PL), and a badge is just visible above the right taillight: 1964/65. Not sure about which trim level... | 2012-02-24 22:09

M268 ![]() | They likely bought an already crashed car for this scene. Back to the car, I'd say ID19 1966 - 68: second type dashboard, five bolts wheels. On main picture, it seems we see battery on the left side. If so => 1966. Battery was moved on the right side on 1967 models and came back on the left on 1970 models. |
2012-02-24 19:31 | ||
M268 ![]() | Seems to have wheel caps corresponding to 5 bolts wheels. If so, DS19 or 21 Pallas 1966 or 67. | 2012-02-24 19:25
