GodzillaFan54 CAWere Firebirds actually sold in the UK or were they imported? If I ever move there, I'm sooo getting a Firebird... though a 2000s Vauxhall Corsa would be more likely. 2021-04-24 00:19

In March 1989 the first six RMC 1456, 1458, 1461, 1490, 1496, and 1513 and later RMC1485 were refurbished for passenger work, repainted in red with gold lining, with standard 3-piece displays fitted at the front.
They were used as a crewed commuter service linking the new Docklands developments with Central London.
The description could look right I think for this bus?

Sunbar UKInitially the RMCs were operated by Green Line, later London Country, but with the reduction of bus passenger numbers in the outer London areas in 1960s they were replaced with the one-man operated London Country Reliances RP in the 1970s.

The remainder were then sold onto London Transport some or all being used for training in the red livery I think.
