130rapid PLIt's 1961+ 1800 B because quarter window, opened by elegant knob in door.
A-series cars and 1500 L had cheaper system, opened via chromed handle with push buttom, integrated into window frame.

ingo DE:think: Perhaps an idea for the forum, to open a thread about the history of car-factories.

I can add a few right now:

Borgward in Bremen - now Mercedes Benz

DKW in Düsseldorf - now Mercedes Benz Transporter

Glas in Dingolfing - now BMW

NSU in Neckarsulm - now Audi

chicomarx BEActually I've been reading this interview with a former chief at Citroën Vorst: http://www.citroenami6.nl/Vraaggesprek.html (in Dutch)

and he states that the factory buildings were indeed taken over by VW.

chicomarx BEI should say the former Volkswagen Vorst, it's now called "Audi Brussels". http://www.audibrussels.com/audi_brussels/brand/de.html

"After WW II, Pierre D'Ieteren managed to obtain the sales rights for VW and so they became the official Belgian distributor of that German manufacturer from 1948 until this day. D'Ieteren bought a piece of land in Vorst for the assembly of the Studebakers and soon this was followed by the assembly of Volkswagens. Since 1950, Pierre D'Ieteren also became the importer of Porsche. The Volkswagen factory in Vorst was sold to Volkswagen in 1970. Pierre D'Ieteren died in road accident in 1975 and his son Roland took over management of the now very large D'Ieteren empire." Link to "www.coachbuild.com"

The old Citroën/Panhard factory in Vorst was closed in 1980:

chicomarx BE"Vorst" to be exact. Where the Belgian Volkswagen factory is located. ;) 2010-06-19 01:21
DynaMike NLSure, since 1957 Panhards were built in the Belgian Citroën factory in Forest/Voorst, near Brussels. And before that date, Panhards were built by Carrosserie d'Ieteren ;)

DynaMike NLPanhard in Italy... quite a rare sight! Most (if not all) Panhards sold in Italy were built in Belgium. The car shown here is indeed a 1964 (only): ETA drumbrakes. 2010-06-17 21:10

ingo DE:think: I thought, the price would be higher, especially with this engaged description (if it's correct). Aren't Lancia's from the 50ies always rare collectibles?
