cresta1957 ![]() | This is to 100% a Vauxhall E-Series car of 1957 because of the typical grille with the horizontal bars and the V-motive in the middle. But it´s no Cresta as there´s the contrasting sideflash missing. So it´s a Vauxhall Velox EIPV or a Vauxhall Wyvern EIX of 1957. | 2010-04-27 07:34
DynaMike ![]() | Merci, Chicomarx, that looks like a very nice one Personally I prefer the Dyna [Z] - purer and more modern for its time. But this 1963 model hass the advantage of better reliability and an even bigger boot (600 litre instead of 500, because of the fact that the spare wheel was located under the hood). We do dream of finding a cabriolet, though. But those are usually a bit too expensive for us. |

DynaMike ![]() | The quarterlights in the front doors came in April 1958. | 2010-04-20 00:19
DynaMike ![]() | The part under the front bumper is in body colour, not plated with aluminium like in the DS until May 1957. So earliest date will be 1957. But there seems to be no shiny strip under the bumper, as on all DS with first type front. Therefore it could also be an ID 19. DS/ID models sold in Switzerland were built in Belgium, and Belgian IDs often had DS-trim (like the hubcaps and the painted roof)... I'd propose to list it as 1957 DS 19, since not enough details can be seen. |

DynaMike ![]() | 2CVs sold in Switzerland were usually Belgian built. All examples here have small parking light on the C-pillar (instead of the bigger indicators as on French cars), which means they had front and rear indicators. Belgian built AZAMs were called AZM3 and had the third side window from the very beginning. You can see that the third side window is placed at the same exterior level as the metal sheet, unlike the 1966+ models. The French third side window was placed more inside (the metal sheet was stanced in a different way. I cannot see wether the blue car has front suicide doors (1963/64) or not (1965). |
