electra225 ![]() | I am almost sure that this is a NSU-Fiat Neckar, built in West Germany, because of the sun roof, at the time not avilable on the Italian built ones. Italian metallic sun roofs were available, but incredibly rare, on Fiat 1300, 1500, 1800, 2100 and 2300, only sedans, and not wagons. Most of them so equipped, were exported. |

Weasel1984 ![]() | Done. The 404 are grouped (I'm here for the first time since I've listed them and since the exact type has been identified - give me some time in the future ).I would leave the R8's listed separately... The white one is nicely smashed up. -- Last edit: 2008-12-18 20:23:04 |

rpcm ![]() | As far as I know, all the 1967 US Sedans received vertical headlights and kept this type of bumpers. Nevertheless - and although it's not easy to be completely sure - this car seems to have the new door mirror and doesn't seem to have the chrome strips in the windscreen seal and along the bonnet. So I think this can be a 1968 1200 whose owner decided to fit this bumper in order to cope with the Paris traffic. | 2008-12-18 16:47

DAF555 ![]() | Here´s a sample: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/67changes/page3.jpg But I don´t think all of the US-models for 1967 had the new lights. |
2008-12-17 23:43 | ||
DAF555 ![]() | I don´t know, but that extra bar and higher overriders were only standard on US-market up to 1967 models. But I guess you could get them as accessory if you wished. | 2008-12-17 23:38
Ingo ![]() | It's not an US-bumper, it's the pre-1967-version for the "Export"-trim. All Typ1 with the steep front lamps (modelyear 1968+), had the new bumper-version (called "railroad-track-bumper"). | 2008-12-17 23:25
DAF555 ![]() | I think that´s a late 1967 for the US, some of them had the new front fenders. That would fit with the US-bumper to. | 2008-12-17 23:22
DynaMike ![]() | In Paris it was (and is) quite easy to ruin your bumper... I guess this happened here too, and it was more 'economical' to replace it with a second hand bumper ![]() |

DynaMike ![]() | Until March 1964 the 2CV (also the AZAM version) had a split license plate with the light in the centre, so this one is at least 1964+. | 2008-12-17 22:28
DynaMike ![]() | This PL17 (Grand Standing [L4] was indeed available in the years 1961 and 1962. But this colour (Vert Tilleul) was only introduced on 20th March 1962. | 2008-12-17 22:23
Ingo ![]() | Hmm, it looks, that its a brand new one (1968+ front lamps and fenders), but the bumper is older (it doesn't really fit either). Strange combination for 1968. | 2008-12-17 22:12

58Roadmaster ![]() | That badge looked like a "P" to me, too. The C-pillar badge is obviously Ford. Here is the grille badge of a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500: http://www.galaxieclub.com/FGCoA-1stNational/63-hoodlatch.html The car shown here is a 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 four-door sedan [54B] http://www.moby302.co.za/photo/ford/ford_fairlane_500_1964_01.JPG http://www.moby302.co.za/photo/ford/ford_fairlane_500_1964_02.JPG http://www.moby302.co.za/cars/1966/64_fairlane_500.JPG |
