Sunbar UK^ Good thinking dsl.

Another closer view of the headlights I believe shows the inner pair were simply added without to many changes to the grille behind other than clearance holes, so likely just to be an after-market accessory on a 1966 Dart.

Sunbar wrote The entry number '0' I guess indicated an entry that did not meet the normal rally classes, so some sort of factory prototype or pre-production saloon?

No formal rules, but 0 could also be used for an organiser's course or safety car, for instance to drive down the stage to open it ahead of competitors zooming down it.

Sunbar UKThe first Rally de Ourense was July 1967 therefore any later rally would be after the film date. Both cars would date from around 1966-1967 or possibly early 1968. The rally car has a 'Barreiros' badge on the grille that is not seen on the car in the movie.

The entry number '0' I guess indicated an entry that did not meet the normal rally classes, so some sort of factory prototype or pre-production saloon?

The grille could be either an after-market part or a factory fitted part, so were only a few cars produced with the four headlight front rather than it being a series production model?

Gamer DEFront look indeed a little bit altered, but I can see four letters on the hood, exposed wheelhouses, fog lights and what appears to be a chrome spear on the fender. Profile seems about right too.

sixcyl FRImpossible to distinguish a 1301 with a 1501. 3 trim available, identical for the 2 ranges. LS/GL/GLS.
On this one I can't see if the rear bumper covers 2/3 of rear wing sides that would make a GL or GLS?
Let's say a 1501 , with 50% or error.

DynaMike NLI was thinking some Spanish Mopar as well, but don't know which model... 2010-11-19 23:21
DynaMike NLIn France (and I think the car shown here has a French license plate) there were four 1964 versions: 17 Luxe, Super Luxe, Relmax and Relmax S. Only the Relmax (and Relmax S) had the chrome strip around the windscreen, and other extras like chromed gutter rail, covered glove cases in the dashboard, a second interior light, an electric clock, a key-operated starter, a furnished trunk, extra comfortable front seats (and the Relmax S also had metallic paint and fake-leather upholstery). On the Relmax and Relmax S there was also the option of the Tigre engine (60 bhp instead of 50 bhp).
Model year 1965 had the Confort S (or Confort S Tigre) instead of the Relmax.

rjluna2 USSpanish Dodge Dart? Very possible  2010-11-19 22:38
electra225 ITObserving carefully the side it seems a Mopar built probably in Spain by Barreiro, even if the front end seems altered with those odd and big quad headlights...
A sort of locally built Dodge Dart?
2010-11-19 22:36
dsl SXWhat was the Relmax anyway? In UK, Sept 63 saw Deluxe and Tiger discontinued, leaving only the Tiger S 'Sports', now with bonnet badge as above plus a new non-reflective dash. 2010-11-19 22:22
DynaMike NL17 or PL17, it's just a very small detail that tell them apart (only the front badge), and in fact it is the same car... Pnahrd changed PL17 to 17 to get the name similar to the 24 series, that's all.
And of course it would have been too much of a coincidence to see our very own Super Minx driving around here... ;)

carobserver MXfirst of all, it cant be a 1970 car, because the movie is from 1968

second, is not a Toyota

third, loos so big for be an Toyota, could be still as a unknown vehicle

DynaMike NLActually the small badge on the front identifies this as a 1964 (or 1965) model, and therefore it's a 17 (without PL) [L6]. Looks like there is some bright strip in the windscreen rubber: Relmax. 2010-11-19 15:59
