marco69 ITSurely not a Mark I-one carburetor, whose bumper puts in two big guards as standard.
As the scene was filmed in 1968, it could be a Fulvia 2C (since 1964), or even a new (1967) Fulvia GT.

Animatronixx DEDue to the ornamentation this might very well be a budget-priced conversion by Officine Grazia, but I can't tell for sure. 2010-05-16 22:40
chris40 UKAccording to the link I gave above, Authi didn't start making the 1300 until September 1968 (they think), so that might be pushing it a bit. IIRC this colour became fashionable in the late 60s. 2010-05-16 20:33
chris40 UKActually a Zollkennzeichen, a German Customs plate in use 1967-88. They were usually issued to foreign visitors buying cars in W. Germany.

electra225 a écrit 1963 Fiat 1500 L, because no chromed door frames...!
The amber indicators should be fitted on a foreign market car. it is not vesible, but probably the plate is not Italian!

@ electra225: Bingo! I reviewed the scene and took an other screenshot: special plate for GI's living in Germany, I think.

Barrett UKbugger, I thought all these single headlight models were 1800s but now I realise that both types got this facelift.... I did wonder about the indicators actually. From now on I think i'll leave the Fiats for you! 2010-05-16 19:33

electra225 ITAgree: Spanish plate: It is definitely a 2 door: could it even be a 1300 ? This colour seems very modern in 1968. (It looks very 70's...).

Barrett UKhaha! I was going by your previous post about the chromed window frames! (/vehicle.php?id=300935)
One day i'll be able to identify all these 60s Fiats, but i'm at a disadvantage living here, there are none left...
2010-05-16 19:29
chris40 UKI think it's an old Spanish plate too. According to http://www.aronline.co.uk/index.htm?ado16spainf.htm Authi were building MG 1100s at this time. 2010-05-16 17:48
DynaMike NLIt sure does. No bumper, 'barn door' and small trapezoid rear window... 2010-05-16 17:39
DynaMike NLSince November 1963 these white reflecting plates (and yellow ones for the rear of the car) were allowed in France. But maybe it's a Spanish plate?
2010-05-16 17:38
ingo DEThe back of the van left looks like a very very early VW T1  2010-05-16 17:32
ingo DEHmm, but the plate with white with black letters - didn't France have black one in the 60ies?

It doesn't look like a German plate (the MG 1100 wasn't available here anyways), so my guess is, that it's an older Swiss plate. A long time ago they had such big plates for the front. And in Switzerland plates are connected to the owner, not the car, so even today you can see brand new cars with old plates (similar as in Belgium).
2010-05-16 17:30
ingo DEIt can be an earlier "Audi" -without number- too, as the Audi-badge is big and no second badge on the right visible. 2010-05-16 17:21

electra225 IT1961 Fiat 500 D with a not original two-tone paint (it is not a 500 Sport anyway). Those inside doors handles were deleted in mid 1962, and this car lacks the windshield washers, added in November 1961. The vent windows tell this is a 1961 500D and not a 1960 500 t.a. 2010-05-16 16:40

electra225 IT1300. The 1500 had already been facelifted after late 1964. This particular car was deleted at the very end of 1966 and many units were registered during 1967 and even, apparently, in 1968.
