Gag Halfrunt UKI think it's a normal French plate with the letters in the middle covered up. 2010-08-09 00:18
APS221 USI looked at this site: http://plaque.free.fr/f_f.html But I couldn't find any thing that quite matched. I could only find military plates with the flag on the left. I've never seen the flag between numbers. 2010-08-09 00:16

dsl SXAs I suggested this I'd better kick it off. French registered, possibly a convertible, fog lamps, possibly the later bright grille trim, dustbin lid wheel trims ..... 2010-07-25 17:38
dsl SXThanks - just thought the Mustang was an interesting and precise example of what was available in France in 1965-6. 2010-07-25 17:34
chicomarx BEIf you insist /vehicle_321634-Ford-Mustang.html but there are loads of *-star Mustangs on the site. 2010-07-25 17:24

chris40 UKI think the Jaguar's plates are the former (<1965) diplomatic series, black on green: 75 IT #####. I also think the car behind it is an R8. 2010-07-25 10:09
bref FRLuxe model was from 1965 Paris Motor Show, 1966 model Year. Sunroof was optionnal (500 francs) 2010-07-25 09:58

- There's no toilet paper in the john.
- Use this copy of Le Figaro. (right-wing French newspaper)

Contains a little pastiche of Bergman, who was a lifelong rival - "typical Godard - mind-numbingly boring" as he said of this one.

DynaMike NLIndeed, not an R8.

2010-07-25 00:32
DynaMike NLOr a René Bonnet Djet... But I'm pretty sure this is indeed a Matra-Bonnet (Bonnet was still part of the name), from 1965/66. Could be a V (engine of R8) or V S (engine of R8 Gordini), maybe even a Luxe because of the bumpers (but didn't the Luxe always have a sliding roof?). Needs some investigation 2010-07-25 00:21
ingo DE@DynaMike: es ist kein Knick in der Fronthaube zu sehen. Bei der Heck-Ecke bin ich nicht sicher, ob R8 paßt.

I thought a bit about a Hillman Imp, too.

ingo DERather a NATO-cars, as this one: /vehicle_321487-Ford-Fairlane-1965.html

It has a flag, too, and the French flag on the plate. I'm not common with French plates, but doesn't they have the flag?

Ther German and the Belgian Army-plates have the national flag, too.

ingo DEThe uniform looks not American. Rather British? If yes, would a British officer like to be a holder for it? :p

Is it NATO-comprehensive, this clic-system? [Image: 2,13436,omega003jpg2MWYU.jpg]
