| 2006-07-22 15:34
DodgeMan ![]() | It almost looks like a CCKW with the last axle cut off. The cab and some other things are not original. It could also be a modified Chevrolet G506 through the wheelbase seems a bit too short. - Dodgeman |

Alexander ![]() | It is not an AM General, as this name as a company and brand name was only started April 1st, 1971. The film is from 1966. It is not an M-35, either. Note the single rear wheels and the wheel arches. The M-35 had smaller double-wheels and no need for wheel arches. This one is a M-34, designed and build by Reo. Production started in 1953 and lasted, together with the M-35 and all the variants, until the late 1980s. Next to Reo it was also produced by Studebaker, Studebaker-Packard, Curtis Wright, Kaiser Jeep, General Products Division AMC, AM General and (possibly) White. |

sixcyl ![]() | Interesting german made Fiat= Neckar Jagst 2 of mid 1964/early 1965 (door opening in the good way, with same "cromed" head face than previous versions..in late 1965, this face was simplified witn one chrome beading only) | 2006-07-18 23:53
mrcadillac ![]() | 1952 Cadillac "Series 62" convertible coupe (100% sure). Eldo fans: the first production Eldorado came out in 1953. It had a distinctive "dip" in the belt line at the rear of the doors; only 532 were built. IMHO, you won^'t see too many featured in the movies. | 2006-07-18 23:45

sixcyl ![]() | Supposed to be in Marseille(s) ... is Marseille written with a 's' in english (american) or is it a gross mistake ? ![]() ![]() this "post card" is actually Marseille's view from "Vieux port" entrance...but following scenes are probably in Spain, I suspect then a Dodge-Barreiros rather than a Berliet GBK (type of tarpaulin, and colours are typical spannish and doesn't look french) ![]() -- Last edit: 2006-07-18 22:56:36 |
