dsl ![]() | Sept 59 onwards S3a (or 3b or 3c) due to separated rear lights. Convertible dropped in Feb 62 as 3c. Agree it could be same car as /vehicle_74655-Singer-Gazelle-1957.html . | 2010-10-31 19:37

DynaMike ![]() | Indeed, in Holland Ford had the same problem. And I think there were more countries were the original taillights were not allowed. Nice pics, btw ![]() |

DynaMike ![]() | Looks like it is the very same car as /vehicle_74655-Singer-Gazelle-1957.html | 2009-09-14 18:29
DynaMike ![]() | In the thumbnail a rare 1963 only R4 Super (doublebumper, big wind-down rear window, no chrome frame at the taillights). | 2009-09-14 18:24
DynaMike ![]() | Yes, 1962 only, with these hubcaps, tube shaped bumpers, chrome frame of taillights and license plate. | 2009-09-14 18:22
929V6 ![]() | Not made for France only I think? In The Netherlands for instance, one could see a number of variants: http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/9282/fordtaunus17mp3turnier3.jpg http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/4171/fordtaunus17mp3turnier.jpg http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/4195/fordtaunus17mp3lieferwa.jpg The one below was the latest, international version with an upward hinging back door. |

DynaMike ![]() | 'Made for F' by the extra reflectors. | 2009-09-14 18:10
DynaMike ![]() | 'Made for F' by the different taillights, on top of the rear fenders. The German versions had the taillights in the roof, but these were not allowed in France (as in many other export markets). | 2009-09-14 18:09
DynaMike ![]() | Strange there's only one rear license plate... | 2009-09-14 18:07
DynaMike ![]() | The Break was presented on the 1958 Salon de Paris, but production didn't start before October 1959, so model year 1960. The simple upholstery of the door indicates a basic 'Luxe' version. The clock in the dashboard is an aftermarket accessory (the Confort had a clock under the speedometer). The car has got an antenna, but the space for the radio (in the centre of the dashboard) looks empty. there's just not enough visible of the buttons on the dashboard. They changed a bit for model year 1961, and since that year the indicator 'egg clock' was replaced by a handle on the left of the steering wheel column. | 2009-09-14 18:06
DynaMike ![]() | I agree on 1966. But to me it is an AZAM, by the shiny (aluminium) window trim. The AZA had just rubber for the rear side windows. | 2009-09-14 17:25
DynaMike ![]() | Yes, 1958. The 1959 version had the defroster on the right of the dashboard block, which would have been visible here. Note the indicator switch (in Holland we call it an 'eierwekker', egg-cooking clock): when you turn it to the right or the left, the right or left indicator will flash six or seven times and stop automatically. Also nice to see the drivers manual in the dashboard... | 2009-09-14 17:23

Weasel1984 ![]() | Indeed I've already listed some Bresson's films, but like for now I do not have such plan to provide pics from all his films. In the closest future I would like to add captures from the "Mouchette" if someone won't be faster and if there will be any cars (I haven't seen it yet). |
