Sunbar ![]() | C-series MkIV would normally have a one-piece windscreen - however this divided windscreen looks unusual somewhat squarer corners and thicker chrome section so may not be factory spec. Leaving as MkIV for larger badge and grille. | 2018-05-24 15:54

DidierF ![]() | Yep. It appears to be the Viasa CJ-6 with its long wheel-base. http://www.zbowe.com/cj3b/storia/viasa.htm (default MY unclear: 69+ or more probably 66+.) The linked site says it has nothing to do with the Kaiser-Willys CJ-6. Another site links the car to the former Hotchkiss HWL, the French firm, after merger, having sold blue prints and machines to Viasa. Maybe should we make it "origin: Spain". Or "origin: France". I don't know. -- Last edit: 2015-12-02 14:24:35 |

130rapid ![]() | 1961 only. Two sun visors and 1961+ 'fear handle' for passenger, oldfashioned tail lights still. | 2014-01-06 16:29
snakebit ![]() | No free ride. The AC Cars firm was on the verge of leaving the automotive manufacturing business, when Carroll Shelby chose the AC Ace to base his company's new sports car on. His engineers and fabricators adapted the Ace to accept more power from the Ford motors, and suggested modifications to steering and suspension to handle better at higher speeds. At worst, Mr. Hurlock, the two companies were benefiting from each other. Without the Cobra and Shelby American, AC Cars would have been known by only a tenth of the world who learned about them through the Cobra program, and would have gone under, many years earlier. There would have been no 1962 to 1986 AC Cars history if Carroll Shelby hadn't come to your family, and asked them to help produce a car for his company. -- Last edit: 2013-11-12 17:20:36 |

Lateef ![]() | Actually, it's Japan, not Hong Kong. Btw, what other captures? I can only find one capture for this episode, and I'm looking at it. |

Gag Halfrunt ![]() | Bump: This is in Hong Kong, not the USA. | 2012-05-05 14:03
Gag Halfrunt ![]() | This looks to me like a real Hong Kong location (like all the other captures from this episode), so the car is not a US model. -- Last edit: 2012-05-05 13:01:12 |
2012-05-05 12:59 | ||
Sunbar ![]() | 'Morris 1000' from model year 1957 in the USA, the car shown is after model year 1962 with the semaphore arms discontinued Rear lights are probably after model year 1964 combined units with red rather than orange turn signals shown by the larger chromed base (although its possible they are the earlier type with slightly less chrome, 1957-64). |

Beans ![]() | 1966 | 2012-01-22 18:57
130rapid ![]() | I'd say 1957 ID 19. I'm almost sure she has ID dashboard. Left side exhaust pipe (DS19 since Feb 1958 also) and any 'arrows' on fenders, both match. ID19 for US market had chrommed indicator 'rockets' and full wheelcovers. |
