A message from the Mövenpick Hotel in Amsterdam. Just awaiting transport to the airport to return home.

DynaMike NLI found some info about where we got the Studebakers from in 1955 (just to give an indication, I don't have those numbers for other years): From the USA we got 6 Champions, 2 Commanders and 4 Presidents; from Belgium we got 141 Champions, 20 Commanders and 9 Presidents.

DynaMike wrote Most probably, yes. Not sure what name we used, though...

I've often wondered same question about small UK van naming in Europe. 5cwt = (5x112)lbs = 560lbs = 233.33kgs. Would ¼ ton or ¼ tonne have been used?? But similar Thames 7cwt = 326.66kgs so more difficult to express cleanly.

dsl SXMade-for-I side indicators but interesting that they're small and round - compare depiction on the Politoys model
[Image: politoys507mk1abluetanint5.jpg]
- rectangular and set further back. Was there a change in format, and if so can it be dated? As far as I know the model (#507) came out in 1965, replacing previous plastic version (#78) from 1964 which had no side indicators.

If anyone's interested in toy Cortinas, this Politoys is superb apart from a slightly too straight front. Everything opens, and I think it's the best 1960s-made model, well ahead of eg Dinky, Norev, Eligor etc. (But don't buy its Russian reissue - poorly assembled from worn tooling).

DynaMike NLA 24 CT with original Dutch registration is even rarer :) But the one on your pics has an import-plate (DE, just like our Panhard with AH registration), so no doubt it has been found in France and imported to Holland ;)
From 1948 till 1967 some 2000 Panhards have been sold in Holland, that's an average of 100 cars a year... (even though 1962 was the best year with 462 cars).

Oh, I will add it. I had no idea these were so rare in NL. How about the 24 CT? I saw this one with Dutch registration last year.
