Lateef ![]() | Typical Nissan Cabstar design, I'd say a 61+ E690 - this window arrangement appears to have been unusual, but it did exist. | 2018-09-13 18:18
130rapid ![]() | 1959 [P] actually. | 2015-11-21 18:28
maxp ![]() | This seems to be a transit bus qiute new in 1963. Minsei Condor is something old with high beltline under the winscreen. It needs an artist eye to sort out the different shapes. What does Jun say? -- Last edit: 2015-09-01 20:24:11 |

DidierF ![]() | What do you think of Q-Ball suggestion, maxp? (I'm a complete Beotian in those matters, I'd like to compare with references to get a more informed idea.) |

tngjstn ![]() | Actually this is a 1961 Corona 1500 (RT20B). You can tell by the small 1500 badges at the rear. | 2015-08-05 09:16

tngjstn ![]() | Actually a 1961 RS30 (1900cc engine). | 2015-07-29 08:54
tngjstn ![]() | Actually, there is no such thing as a 1500 Custom. All Cedric Customs were powered by the 1883cc H engine; however the 1900 bedge by default does not feature on the Custom. Early Cedrics were originally powered by the 1488cc G engine, but the H engine was available beginning in October 1960. By the time the Custom was introduced, the H engine was standard, and only the Cedric Standard and Cedric Van used the D engine. |

Q-Ball ![]() | As our long-dormant friend Jun stated, these Chevy Stylelines were secondhand card from the US Occupational forces and were used into the early 60's, as their powerful engines could easily out-horsepower the Japanese domestic models. | 2012-03-04 20:28
Q-Ball ![]() | Close. It's a Minsei Condor (or at least one of the many in-country variants) The design, although I've never really considered it, is based on the Curved rear design of the Crown Coach and the contemporary Flxible look of that time. | 2012-03-04 20:25
| tom11 | Crown Supercoach? | 2012-01-23 03:14 | ||
lemansvk ![]() | Isuzu assembled Minxes from ckd parts between October 1953 and October 1957, during which time they gradualy inceased local content. From Oct 1957 the cars were 100% built in Japan - no imported parts. Manufacture continued until June 1964. | 2011-11-15 04:33

dsl ![]() | Thanks. More of the front wingline visible in /vehicle_433362.html which does not droop like the Mazda and the door cutout is straighter, but as you say does these do not match the Toyopet either. | 2011-09-19 23:37

| (inactive user) | dsl, yes there was a B-1500 like this, it is called the B-1500 Van. Here it is: http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~rf7k-inue/kuruma/mazda/kogata/bua-3.html But it is not the car pictured, I think it is something else. The body lines and roof are different. Toyopet Corona Van (PT26V) is more close with the roof style but it does not match perfectly either. http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~rf7k-inue/kuruma/toyota/corona/pt26v.html -- Last edit: 2011-09-19 23:27:01 |
