DynaMike NLBy the single sunvisor and the plain interior door panels it is ineed an early ID model. It's a basic 'Luxe'; the 'Confort' would have been better equiped, the stripped-down 'Normale' had a black painted windscreen and roof frame and simpler upholstery. The upholsery (visible in the third thumbnail) is Nylon Hélenca, only available on the 'Luxe' in 1957 and 1958. 2008-11-26 00:53

DynaMike NL:) The one in the second thumbnail is a Grand Standing. 2008-11-25 16:06
DynaMike NLVery nice indeed! My first idea was also a Le Caddy. But those had small rear wheel arches. The car shown here still has the original rear fender from the Berline. There's no chrome vertical strip between this fender and the side panel behind the door. Therefore it is one of the early La Croisette convertibles, 1958 (the 1959 model had the vertical chrome bar). 25 of this first series with covered rear wheels have been built. Only problem is that the 'flames' that carry the retroreflectors are missing... Maybe the rear has been modernised? 2008-11-25 16:03

CougarTim wrote I'm pretty sure it's a 1958 (look at the fins)

1958 fins, well spotted so far, BUT: What do you see if there´s a 1955 Cadillac body style combined with 1958-ish tailfins? Correct - A 1955 Eldorado! This could have been easily checked instead of modifying & mismatching the model year in the headline.

Please revert to 1955.
