Commander 57 USHave looked at this car off and on for years and never noticed until now that it's a '55, not a '56.
Note the near vertical fender area at the headlamp panel. The '56's had a more forward pointing design.
Changing.

electra225 IT1962 Buick Skylark for sure! 2012-06-17 16:36
SFTom USVery hard to tell by this photo. But what in the world is the car in the foreground? Don't recognize it at all.

haaallloooom ENyeah, agreed. The badge would be further to the right, and the date is to far wrong 2011-02-08 18:40
dsl SXI see what you mean about the "wing badge" but think it's a reflection - see further along the wing. S3 released in UK Mar 63, probably up to a year after likely filming date. Safer to regard this as S1 or S2. 2011-02-08 14:10
haaallloooom ENI think this might be a very early SIII. if you look below the 'Alpine' script on the wing there looks as if there might be another badge. the badge there was only introduced on the SIII, though this didn't officially come out until 1963 2011-02-08 12:59

njot33 USYou're wrong. It's a 62 Buick Skylark.
The Special didn't have this trim, but the Skylark did.
It also has Buick hubcaps on it.
We had this exact car when I was growing up.
It also has the "Skylark" emblem on the C pillar.

pavelik FRit is also a french made LD not Lc i'm afraid. LC has a little door (as on early LD's) on the right side panel. Here there is none. Also seats are typical french LD's "MERAT"

here a genuine LC

DynaMike NLI wonder if the chrome strip on the side isn't too thin for the Manhattan?? So shouldn't it be a 1953 Kaiser Deluxe [K5311]? 2007-06-02 19:42
DynaMike NLIt has the new wings, rounded hood and therefore the newer grille: 1951-1952. 2007-06-02 19:39
Alexander DENice! Now we have all the Champions listed! :)

The term 'Rolldach-Coupé' is not official, as far as I know. 'Rolldach' just means roll-back (canvas) roof, like the Citroën 2CV has.

sixcyl FRnon, tu as bien lu.
