130rapid PLIt's 1959 Datsun Truck [221] with 988 cc. OHV engine or [125] with 860 cc. SV. The shape of grille looks more 221.
Both are first one with indicators on front wall, under headlights.
Pre-1959 cars has 'bullet' indicators located on top of fenders.
1960+ [222] had different grille.

lemansvk AUThis body shape, which is basically the UK Minx Series 3A body but with the smaller windshield from the earlier Series 3, was released in Japan by Isuzu in October 1960. The model is probably a PH200 (Super Deluxe) because it has two tone paint - the PH50 (the standard model) seems to have been one colour only. 2011-05-01 14:27

Last Yamaguchi bikes were the base of Sixties'Hodaka bikes(formerly were Japanese-built but by 1963 were made in USA(early were before imported by PABATCO=Pacific Basin Trading Co.,later made in USA by Hodaka Motorcycles--US-made Hodaka were overall offroad-purpose bikes--like the models named Dirt Squirt 100 and the Combat Wombat)

Export model was named 'Trimobile' when there comes an inquiry of import from the United States.

In fact I had got writing at Daihatsu in Japan in 1985 a photocopy of 1967 Daihatsu's outline booklet and the Midget was listed as Tri-Mobile(booklet with English text,so models named with export names, probably)

jplemoine FRLargement possible. 2006-10-09 19:22

jplemoine FRPitêtre... Question de classe et d'élégance.

Jun JPIn 1952, occupation was ends and car import increased.
But foreign currency was tight by compensation of war and import, so the car import was restricted in 1955 again.
By this reason, the DKW in Japan are almost 1952-54model (most of them were Limousine and Universal).

I think it's based on DKW F89 Meisterklasse (1950-52) or DKW F91 Sonderklasse (1953-55)...
