Gamer ![]() | Today I've found out what kind of car that was, and I was really surprised, as it turned out to be the 1963 Ford Mustang II concept Link to "www.carstyling.ru"I wonder how he acquired that? |

Gamer ![]() | Does he make a play on words every time he fails to sign the contracts (a running gag) in the Norwegian version, too? Another time he had a strange muscle car which looked like a cross between a Mustang and a 442, with four or five letters on the back and the Mustang logo on the fender. Its roof was damaged by a falling tin of cat food that was dropped by Gaston's black-headed gull. -- Last edit: 2015-12-12 13:19:26 |

Lateef ![]() | It belonged to his daughter - who instead drove an Alfa Romeo while he borrowed it, hence the inconsistency. The character is named Parker in Norwegian, except for the first album where all the characters retained their Danish names (he's named Potter and I got really confused when reading it ) -- Last edit: 2015-12-12 10:28:57 |

Gamer ![]() | There was also a Gaston strip promoting people to take the bus, drawn by Franquin in his last years (I think ca. 1995 or so) where he had a Mercedes W140. -- Last edit: 2015-12-12 10:05:18 |

cl82 ![]() | Monsieur de Mesmaeker if I remember correctly. And yes, he always had showy, not elegant cars. The Fiat 850 Spider really surprises me. -- Last edit: 2016-02-22 21:39:56 |

Gamer ![]() | Bruchmüller ![]() (I cannot remember his name in French) But he never had a DS. I recall he had a Lincoln Continental/IV/V (because it had opera windows) but that's about it. I'll have to check my comics again. One time he even had a Fiat 850 Spider (which, as with almost all of his cars, was damaged - Gaston t-boned it with his Fiat) -- Last edit: 2015-12-12 19:01:02 |

-- Last edit: 2014-08-14 06:50:34 |

dsl ![]() | Maybe it was not a clean change-over, with a few hybrids slipping out. The DB 2/4 also had a higher rear roofline for an extended 4 seater cabin, and it's not totally clear from this angle whether this one has the full cabin. | 2013-10-17 00:06
bob dieck ![]() | DSL, I agree with the DB 2/4 MkI, because of the headlamps height and the single windscreen, but not by the large bars single pane grille. Indeed the photo here shows the same grille and fender forms as the The Autocar, October 2, 1953 about the possibly very first test on the DB 2/4 ( at the time without Mark I, because they didn`t know a Mark II would be introduced). But the latest DB 2 spotted a very similar grille, not showing the 3-splited grille and the large side vents of the first DB 2: Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" but this one, keeping the split windscreen and an integrated grille, also the same we see here: Link to "www.google.com.br" -- Last edit: 2013-10-16 03:52:16 |

dsl ![]() | DB2 had split windscreen, DB2/4 had single pane. | 2013-10-15 23:00
Bob Dieck ![]() | Wouldn't possible to be a DB 2? thar grille with stronger bars looks like. | 2013-10-15 21:18
Bob Dieck ![]() | I believe this is a 1952 Cadillac because the headlights fittings are not round. Inly 52 and 53 had those fancy fittings, but the bumpers are pure 52. I would like to be assured by seing the reverse lights, but the angle is not favourable, so, 1952. -- Last edit: 2013-10-15 21:13:55 |
