maybe the model is a later one, due to the type of the rims

I agree, it could be a 1954 "1900 Super".

DidierF FRReading this it appears that the characters played by Lino Ventura and Stefan Krol are more than loosely based on French gangsters Abel Danos and Raymond Naudy.

Ah euh, well, hum… http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052698/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast
Quote Lino Ventura : Abel Davos
...
Stefan Krol : Raymond Naldi.

DidierF FRJ'ai ajouté les chronos, un cabriolet italien (probablement une Lancia) et des motos de la gendarmerie, probablement des euh… des anglaises.

Great noir directed by Claude Sautet, his second feature film. Lino Ventura, as great as ever, and Jean-Paul Belmondo, excellent.

A nice Italian moped here:

Flaminiasupersport BEIndeed a 1st series car (but these were in fact called "secunda series" because they're based on the 2nd series Appia Berlina).
Whitewalls were standard on these cars (Michelin, Pirelli or Ceat).

celosse NLIt is problaby a Rosengart LR539 Supertraction 1939.
However the grille bars looks rather heavy, maybe due to the light?
The nose part of this car excisting of a heavy aluminium casting, with the gaze on the inside and the bars on the outside.
It also must have an illuminated badge in the centre but since this car is 20 years old, it can be out of order.
