2013-02-20 15:22
Pibwl PLMain photo is M4 with 105 mm howitzer, not M4A4. Maybe we should name it M4(105). 2011-10-22 19:21
Singerowner CAThis Singer is an SM 1500 Roadster, Model 4AD, to quote the handbook, fitted with the 1500cc OHC engine. There is a boot badge on some of these cars that reads "Singer SM Roadster". The Nine version with this body style was the Model 4AB and was fitted with the earlier 1074cc OHC engine. Details such as the bumpers and rear tail treatment with rear light mounted on the wings indicate this movie car as a 4AD 2011-03-25 03:34
Pibwl PLIndeed M4 with 105 mm howitzer, produced by Chrysler. Smaller photos are M4A4s (also Chrysler) 2010-05-18 23:17
Commander 57 USWould include '55 as possible year.
Horrible quality - unable to say much more, but does appear to be Starliner hardtop style.

DynaMike NLThere has been an SM 1500 Roadster as well. It was the twin-carburettor version of the 4AD Roadster. By the details seen here this will be either a 4AD or SM 1500... Cf: http://www.singercars.com/profiles/index.html?pnl=1_2 2008-02-12 12:50
pilou BEThis one is incorrectly listed as a SM :the SM designation only applied to the Singer 1500 4 door sedan .Correct designation here is Singer Nine Roadster and with this larger radiator grille it is a Ca 1951 car 2008-02-12 09:48

2491tj ENUS Light Tank M3A3...the "A3" version in the series being the final production made model in the M3 series, after which further modifications saw the series redesignated the M5 series.
the "A3" has an all new welded hull enlarged by extending the side sponsons and drivers compartment forward and upward...giving room for extra fuel tanks and ammo stowage.
In British servise the "A3" was known as the Stuart V.
The small pic above left shows an identical vehicle..oddly tho, the small pic at right is of a Ford M20, the cargo utility version of the M8 armoured car..this pic is from the Battle of The Bulge period.

DynaMike NLDifficult to see the difference betweena Commander and a Champion (in fact difficult to see anything at all ;) ). No tailfins, hardtop version, side chrome, two-tone not on the rear fenders... I'd say it's a 1953-1954 Champion (6-cylinder) or Commander (V8) Regal Starliner. 2008-02-07 13:06
