58Roadmaster USI need more proof that this is not a 1956. 2008-08-23 01:43
Robert Gel FRIt is a FV3 or FV3B, probably a FV3B, not a HK500, because there is not "hk500" on the trunk in the rear view.
Nor a FV2B, because there are 4 headlights. FV3B were produced until june 58, year of this movie.
And the wheels are Robergel, so it can't be a HK500

sixcyl FRYour sources seems to be more precise than mines..so let it put as Dyna57 Z11 2007-03-24 10:18

DynaMike NLThere seems to be an aluminium strip under the doors, thus it qould be a 1957 AZL. BTW, did you notice the marvellous Velam Isetta (1955+) in the background? I think it deserves it's own page, even though it's far away... 2007-03-24 03:04
DynaMike NLWith extra foglights. There is also one on the right (with a large rear window: 1953), and another one (a Commerciale, 1951) a bit to the left. 2007-03-24 02:58
DynaMike NLInteresting to see those extra lights under the head lights... Were they typical for the french versions? So would it be "made for 'F'"? They were not standard on similar german (or dutch) cars (the indicators are on top of the front fenders), and since the car was quite new when filmed, it seems to be an original extra. 2007-03-24 02:52
sixcyl FRJudging by the rims, it seems to be a Juvaquatre Break [R2100] of 1951 2007-03-24 00:14

car nerd USI just took a look at the pic of that lovely 57 New Yorker again and noticed that there was a clear shot of the Buick's portholes. There are 4 of them so this is indeed a Century 4-door hardtop.

sixcyl FRThank's, but I should have explain how to identify a FV2B from a HK500... In fact it's very difficult and almost impossible to see without a very close view on the grill and on the face view, the HK500 belt beeing a little bit wider than the FV2B, therefore there are difference of shape between windscreen/windows and upper part of the belt (doors), and on the front the lateral grills are a little bit longer on the HK500 ... soory , it is as hard toa explain (in english for me) as it is hard to identify :D

Anyway, this was an opportunity to get from you another picture of this wonderful car :D thank's ;)
