dsl ![]() | Now have some info on J assembly 800s - Jan 87 to Dec 88 at the Sayama factory - almost identical to UK except did not have Bosch ABS, wheels were spoked steel from Legend, and radiators were vertical-flow instead of cross-flow. No production figure found. All J-spec 800s after Dec 88 were UK build and luxury versions, sometimes better equipped than UK trims. The parallel UK build of Legends stopped in Nov 88, when Honda claimed assembly standards were not good enough. UK Legends had 800's bigger brakes, cross-flow radiators, and smaller but apparently more sophisticated batteries. Figures were 1986 - 472, 1987 - 2677, 1988 - 1260 = 4409 total. |

dhill_cb7 ![]() | Okay the grille was throwing me off. It just looked different than the sprinters I was pulling up. | 2019-03-15 00:52
RedBoy9199 ![]() | This is 100% an Sprinter. The Corolla looks different: Corolla: https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Toyota_corolla_ae101_se-g_1_f.jpg Sprinter: https://es.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archivo:E100_Toyota_Sprinter_1.jpg |

dhill_cb7 ![]() | I think this might be listed wrong. This seems like a lot newer than what my search engines are bringing up for a 1991 Toyota Sprinter. Anyone know if this is actually a sprinter? Or is this just the regular Corolla. I know Japan got both models. | 2019-03-14 21:36

RedBoy9199 ![]() | Not a Vamos Hobio, as Exiv96 said, it can also be a regular Honda Vamos, so i agree with him. | 2017-05-05 19:28
Exiv96 ![]() | If it's not the original bumper, this can also be a regular Honda Vamos, since only the front bumper differs between the two. | 2016-07-13 20:49

dsl ![]() | See 5th post on Link to "www.rover800.info" - 800s were assembled by Honda in Japan for J and Aus markets. Another at /vehicle.php?id=314261 . Would be very interested if anyone can come up with further info on this J assembly - very few references anywhere. -- Last edit: 2012-03-25 14:58:22 |

marklandynut ![]() | Just to confuse matters, this might not be the Land Rover Discovery 1 it appears to be. It might be the Japan and New Zealand only Honda Crossroad, which was a rebadged Discovery. | 2010-07-01 00:47

Q-Ball ![]() | Actually, he's right. For the british and other users, The Paramedic is a model derived from the front of a Nissan Elgrand (japanese version of Ford E-series) and the rear of a Nissan Homy, as you can see here. These models are used as ambulances, wheelchair vans and school transports. A toyota hiace as an ambulance would have curved taillights, and a rounder design. |
