Was my first thought, but the shape of the last rear window seemed somewhat different so I thought it might have been an aftermarket conversion

rjluna2 USIndeed, it still carried Two-Ten De Luxe 4-Door Sedan which it carried over from the previous year, but with the "Two-Ten" as part of the series. It is model 2103.

Lateef NOThat's normal with all cars that come in generations, the "mark" or "phase" in this case (rhyme) will not appear when the car is launched, only once the next generation appears. 2017-08-30 11:46

Citation This Rolls-Royce Twenty with the chassis number GLY 33 and registration number “BX 99” was in 1928 built by Weymann of Addlestone for Royal Naval Commander Nigel Battine, captain of HMS Valentine in WWI. The Bodyworks by Weymann were very popular because of its functional solutions and lightweight design. However, for the low protection in the serious accidents and consuming maintenance, it fell out of popularity within a decade. For this reason, the car was in the early 30's rebodied by the Coachcraft Company. This body type Drophead Coupé has the option of setting the roof to three positions and is one of the most attractive it can be seen. Because of its look, the car was bought by J. Arthur Rank Studios and used in two movies from the 50’s. One of them is a very successful film with Alec Guinness - “To Paris with love” (the movie can be seen HERE). The car spent a long time in the US, where it was later discovered by Mrs. Lisa Roberts from Sussex. She along with her husband transported the car back to UK. The Restoration was carried out over a 6 years period from 1994 to 2000, by Ristes Motor Company, a very well known Vintage Rolls Specialist. The restoration costs exceeded the amount of £250,000 and the car was put into superb condition. Today for a reason of inheritance is offered only for a fraction of that price.

The six-cylinder engine with the capacity of 3127cc is fully functional and in perfect condition. The 4 speed gearbox with a lever located on the right. In a modern history, the car was participated in several exhibitions, including the very famous Goodwood Revival.
