dsl a écrit Taunus 17M [P3]. So UK and D Fords competing in same Middle East country - just like Lebanon - /movie_1004513005-Ana-Antar.html .

British, German and American Fords were all sold side to side in the Arabic speaking parts of the MENA during the 50s & 60s.

Pretty interesting when compared to Ford return to the Gulf market in 1987, pretty much all of the cars offered over here were just the American models (e.g.Taurus, LTD, F Series..etc).

dsl a écrit Looks 2 door?

Yes, it does. I would tend to believe it is just the film image of the car in motion rather than some customized local creation. That being said, one never knows! Not sure how the cost and labor of creating a two door wagon from a four door would have any sort of advantage.

Keats AUCan't identify the truck, but the white sedan directly in front of it in the first thumbnail added by karoomay is a HK Holden Kingswood, 1968-69.

Not only that, but as the thick trim lower than the mid-line trim for the Caprice series ;)

Well, you may call it eccentric or nuts, but *ahem*, yes: when I'm passing a dunghill or strolling around in a harbour, I usually take a look to them. And when I can identify the legendary Michelin-X-profile, I'm happy. And a reason for a party on a dunghill would be, if I would pick a Michelin XZX in the size 165SR14 :)
Annother avowal: once, many years ago, I've stolen tho wheels from a dunghill, because they have looked so ancient. They were indeed, originally from a DKW F5. I made a bit money with on a spare parts market ;)

P.S.Thanks IMCDb, new knowledge every day :king: I've learned right know, that old tires in this use as shown above, became "Fender". This is the German nautic term for buffers between ships and quai walls and piles.
